I use before bed and before putting makeup on in the morning. I wear contacts daily and have had no problems.

I would not recommend using the product with contact lens. The product tends to sting, if it drips into your eyes. The solutions can become crusty after application. Best to use at night before bed.

Question
Bought item and has foul oder after 3 weeks
Ok, I am not sure what happened, but I was using the product yesterday, and it had a really really foul odor coming out from it. Seems like the liquid inside had gone bad? I have been using it for 2 weeks, and it was fine until last night. I went online to search for similar experiences and found none. I dont know if it was psychologically induced or not, but my eyes started to itch too after I applied it on my lases last night. I DO NOT remember the product having this odor when I first used it..... Any ideas?

Perhaps you received a bad batch and I would return it and try it again because it really works. I've been using it for 6 months and have had great results. I agree it does have a slight odor but you MUST use this on a VERY CLEAN eye, meaning NO make-up or mascara residue, NO eye cream, NO skin care, NOTHING. You have to be meticulous about applying it on a clean eye, every night. It will last for 3-4 months with nightly use with a slight increase in odor after 2.5-3 months when you're almost done with the product. After I wash my face & remove my eye make-up, I go over it again with Shiseido's alcohol-free cleansing sheets or cleansing water, just to make sure it's really clean. I've had excellent results with this product using it this way. I also store the tube standing up and not on its side so the product stays down in the well and away from the wand and the tube opening which I think helps keep the product "cleaner". Hope this helps. Good luck! :-)

I had the same problem with my 1st tube, I returned. But the effect was awesome, volume and length so I wanted to try again. This time I was very careful to apply to dry lashes, and of course clean, and 4 months later no bad smell-that's the key!

Yeah. That happened to mine as well. I think it's expiring, it's best not to continue using it.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that product is used on CLEAN/ DRY skin only. This will ensure the integrity of the formula is maintained.

If not used on clean/ dry skin a harmless odor may occur however the effectiveness of the formula will still be intact.

Hi Multipleye users. Please remember to use this on a clean dry eye! If you have makeup on when you apply this could be the reason the smell comes about. If you use on a clean dry eye you shouldnt experience these problems

Mine also started having this foul odor after about 3 weeks. I was afraid to continue using it because it might have gone bad (?). I wonder if it is because this product is supposed to be all-natural so it doesn't have as many preservatives.

You are not crazy, mine began to smell after a month also. Mine smells so bad that I don't breathe through my nose when I apply. Not only that, the smell lingers. I don't know if I should return it or not because it does seem to work.

Same this is happening to me...for about 3 weeks, there was no odor at all, and now there is a distinct foul odor that is coming from the tube and I can even smell it from my eyelashes after I've applied it...I HAVE NOT had any irritation, burning or stinging, but there is DEFINITELY a change in the smell...I hope this doesn't mean the product has gone bad... =[

the same thing has happened to me. it really does have a foul odor and my eyes seem to sting for about an hour or so after i apply it. i thought this was normal since no one else seemed to complain about it. the product does seem to work though.
i am thinking of bringing it back to the store and see what they think.
has this helped you any?

Question
Safe With Contacts?
Being a liner-type lash formula instead of a product like Talika Lipocils, with a mascara brush, has anyone noticed problems with soft contact lens wear? Certain ingredients can be irritating, or damaging to the lenses. Thank you!

I wear contacts daily. I apply this every morning on clean skin and let it dry for 2 minutes then put on my contact lenses. I also put it between my lashes and so far i had no problems, no irritations or burning.

this particular lash enhancer slightly irritated my eyes even without wearing contacts. I wouldn't recommend putting it on when you are wearing contacts, but if you take them out and then apply this at night you won't have to worry about any of the product getting onto your contacts if it gets in your eyes.

It's all natural, so it doesn't have the harsh chemicals that latisse, lumigan and peter thomas roth's serums have that can cause darkening of the iris.

Dear tarte product user,

We absolutely recommend purchasing a new MultiplEYE Lash Enhancer if you used this product during a time when your eye was infected. As with all products used on, in, or around the eye; sanitation is a priority. Products used on eyes should be replenished every few months to ensure the highest level of cleanliness.

I've had mine for 3 months and it just started to develop the smell. I always kept it in a cool place. I live in AK, so it's not to hard. I've turned the heaters on recently and I think that the warmer temp makes it smell. I would have thought that the age of it would make it smell, but I've read some reviews that complain of the smell for a week or two after purchase.

Hi, I don't "think" yours is bad because mine smells bad too and I've just bought it 2.5 weeks ago. I think the smell comes with the product as is. Mine still works bc the lashes are getting longer & thicker.

I wear daily disposable contacts and haven't had a problem...however I would recommend that either you apply the enhancer at night before bed when you're not wearing contacts (which is usually what I do), or give it at least a few minutes to dry before putting your contacts in. I'm pretty sure you don't want this stuff in your actual eyes or smearing from your lashes onto your contacts.

Applying more then once a day
Is it ok to apply this product more than once a day (the directions say only once a day)? Has anyone tried it? If so, is there a difference in the results, i.e. do you see the results even faster?

I've been using it in the morning before mascara application, and then again at night before going to sleep. It's only been two weeks for me, and I've seen some noticeable results. I've not had any adverse reactions for the second daily use, but individuals can vary. I would say you'll know after a couple of days if you can use it twice a day.
