Perhaps you received a bad batch and I would return it and try it again because it really works. I've been using it for 6 months and have had great results. I agree it does have a slight odor but you MUST use this on a VERY CLEAN eye, meaning NO make-up or mascara residue, NO eye cream, NO skin care, NOTHING. You have to be meticulous about applying it on a clean eye, every night. It will last for 3-4 months with nightly use with a slight increase in odor after 2.5-3 months when you're almost done with the product. After I wash my face & remove my eye make-up, I go over it again with Shiseido's alcohol-free cleansing sheets or cleansing water, just to make sure it's really clean. I've had excellent results with this product using it this way. I also store the tube standing up and not on its side so the product stays down in the well and away from the wand and the tube opening which I think helps keep the product "cleaner". Hope this helps. Good luck! :-)

I had the same problem with my 1st tube, I returned. But the effect was awesome, volume and length so I wanted to try again. This time I was very careful to apply to dry lashes, and of course clean, and 4 months later no bad smell-that's the key!

Yeah. That happened to mine as well. I think it's expiring, it's best not to continue using it.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that product is used on CLEAN/ DRY skin only. This will ensure the integrity of the formula is maintained.
If not used on clean/ dry skin a harmless odor may occur however the effectiveness of the formula will still be intact.

Hi Multipleye users. Please remember to use this on a clean dry eye! If you have makeup on when you apply this could be the reason the smell comes about. If you use on a clean dry eye you shouldnt experience these problems

Mine also started having this foul odor after about 3 weeks. I was afraid to continue using it because it might have gone bad (?). I wonder if it is because this product is supposed to be all-natural so it doesn't have as many preservatives.

You are not crazy, mine began to smell after a month also. Mine smells so bad that I don't breathe through my nose when I apply. Not only that, the smell lingers. I don't know if I should return it or not because it does seem to work.

Same this is happening to me...for about 3 weeks, there was no odor at all, and now there is a distinct foul odor that is coming from the tube and I can even smell it from my eyelashes after I've applied it...I HAVE NOT had any irritation, burning or stinging, but there is DEFINITELY a change in the smell...I hope this doesn't mean the product has gone bad... =[

the same thing has happened to me. it really does have a foul odor and my eyes seem to sting for about an hour or so after i apply it. i thought this was normal since no one else seemed to complain about it. the product does seem to work though.
i am thinking of bringing it back to the store and see what they think.
has this helped you any?
