Yes, there is a lock under the pump. However in the stores they also sell the gel without a pump and this is not locked.

Just checked my new one I just ordered and it does not have a safety seal under the cap. That surprises me, I would have guessed yes, had I not checked first.

Question
How do you get the pump to work?
Sounds like a stupid question I know, but I have taken all the packaging off and have twisted the nozzle a hundred rotations in each direction but I can't get it to unlock so it can be depressed. Any tips??

I have this problem sometimes too. Just hold the base and twist and sometimes slapping down the pump a few times will release it too. Good luck!

There is a little clip thing under the nozzle that holds it up. Just pull it off. If you've done this, you don't need to twist the nozzle- it does not lock when twisted.

It's a good question and something for Korres to consider. Their pump is not designed well. I have done the same thing (turned it hundreds of times before getting it) too. All I can say is, don't turn it violently. You have to jiggle it to find the 'click' that shifts it from open to close.

I too had issues with the pump. The pump does not come all the way up, it looks like the stem of the pump (not too sure how else to describe it). It looks only 1/2 open, but it does come out.. I do think the pump needs work. I wish I could explain better for you.. Hope my few words helped..

there is a plastic lock peice around the nozzle its almost like a little clip just pull it off and then push down on the nozzle.i got into the same trouble when i got this to.

I also twisted and twisted, then got lucky. Turns out that the way this opens is to turn it 90 degrees clockwise until a you feel a little bump in the turn. At this point, you will be able to press down on the pump. It is a subtle bump, and you can easily miss it and keep turning, like it seems many of us have done. The key is to just turn 90 degrees clockwise from the locked position and push down to see if you found the sweet spot.

Can I return a scent I HATE?
I wanted Vanilla Cinnamon body milk & showergel but you don't seem to make it anymore. I ordered 3 each Vanilla Guava body butter & showergel and HATE the smell! I want to return for 1 set Basil Lemon and 1 set Jasmine. I've tried to get used to the smell but can't. Can I return the set I have partially used??? Thanks

Sephora is GREAT about returns. As long as a majority of the product has not been used, you should be good - especially since you're just looking to exchange. The best thing to do is just go in and ask nicely.

That is the one thing I love about Sephora, you can return anything (preferably with a receipt, even without one for store credit). It shows they really care about making their customer happy and find solutions to make them happy. By the way, I loooove the Basil lemon scent, it is not too strong, nor too masculine or feminine.

They state on the bottle "no mineral oil." I have been using it for years and have never noticed an oily feel of any kind.
