It's not a stain - you would reapply after eating etc. like any lip style make-up. The product it self - you will be addicted to putting it on because your lips feel so good and the application is so smooth so I find I am putting it on even when I don't need it - with that addiction you may run through it faster than you hoped. I don't use any other lipstick and I have lancome and other great products - this is my go to weekend, evening, work...I love it.

I wear it every day and may reapply only once during the evening! I can get almost 3 months out of one tube by using my lip brush to apply it! Plus, when it gets down so low in the tube, you can still get every last bit of it! Nothing gets wasted!!

Obviously, it depends how often u swipe it on, but it's only about an inch long of product in the tube, diameter of about half an inch. So if u think of how long u r able to make a lipstick of that size last, then u got your answer. I personally like it and am keeping it, but it is pretty pricey for the amount u actually get.

It reacts to the chemical composition of your lips. It goes on sheer but your lip color will change before your eyes. Sephora has an excellent return policy so I recommend either trying it on in the store, or buying and returning if you do not like it.

I kind of have rosy lips, but without balm on they tend to get ashy, and dry easily. I live in a very dry climate, even when it snows. The air is just dry. This smooths out my lip color so they are soft, and protected, kimd of like a blush of color, but if I reapply, two coats, you know blot and reapply, it can be a little darker not much though...Hope this helps.

I have found that it lasts about 2 hours if you don't eat or drink a whole lot. Since it is a balm, it lasts about as well as most other balms. The formula is a little bit thicker than a chapstick so it will last longer.

For me, this lasts a couple of hours. Keeps my lips from becoming chapped and provides a little glow. This doesn't color your lips all day like a lip-stain, and this is NOT a lipstick. Please understand that its primary purpose is as a chapstick or lip-balm. The color is a nice touch, but this is mainly supposed to hydrate your lips, not function like a lip gloss or lipstick.

I'm not Hispanic but I am Filipino and I think the skintones in both cultures are somewhat similar. Dior Addict Lip Glow looks great on me. This lipstick would most likely look good on you but go to Sephora and have one of their employees help you try on this lip color. The color turns out different on everyone so you won't know unless you try.

YES! I tried the product while in the sephora store and it works amazingly well. I do have dark skin and the balm turned a magenta color. The color is not bold and has the consistency of light stain with a gloss. A friend of mine with a deeper skin tone tried the balm and it turned a salmon color. I would definitely recommend this product it has made my lips amazingly soft! I going back to buy one!

Question
This vs. Smashbox O Gloss?
I already own Smashbox's O Gloss which I love, but I wanted to know if this is worth buying as well. Does it always turn a shade of pink, or can it also turn peachy/coral, or something? O Gloss only turns a "custom shade of pink" so if this does too then I don't think I'd buy it. But the package is cute and I like the idea of a balm as opposed to a gloss, plus SPF-- so if anyone has any advice that would be great!

I have used both several times and I own the O-Gloss and I strongly prefer the O-Gloss for multiple reasons. 1: The color of the O-Gloss is much stronger than the Lip Glow and it is more shiny too. When you apply the O-Gloss, you can see the color of the gloss change from it's original clear state to a whole new color depending on your complexion. I found that the lip glow doesn't have as drastic of a change or really much of a change at all. 2: I hate the consistency of the Lip Glow. It almost felt melty and whenever I applied it at a normal to soft pressure, I found that little clumps came off onto my lips which was quite annoying. It has the shape of lipstick but the texture of a balm softer than the product Baby Lips (which I rave over). 3:The O-Gloss tends to last quite a bit longer than the Lip Glow. I can feel the O-Gloss on my lips for hours after I've applied it but the Lip Glow seems to disappear over time fast.
Here are some key differences that might help you decide between the two.
-O-Gloss is a lip gloss, not a balm. While it doesn't make your lips dry, it certainly doesn't add moisture either. Also the O-Gloss is a tad sticky, but not enough to be annoying or get your hair stuck.
-The Lip Glow is made to add a little pout or plumpness to your lips. I only noticed this slightly, but O-Gloss doesn't do that at all (though there is a different plumping gloss by smashbox that I highly recommend).
-The Lip Glow color is hardly noticeable. You could practically be wearing clear. O-Gloss gives you more of a defined look.
I hope that helps you make a decision. They are both great products however I have to say I strongly prefer the O-Gloss.

I own both the O-gloss and the Dior. I love them both. This turns the same color for me all the time-- just as the O-Gloss does. What I like about having both is that this product is more of a balm and not as glossy so, depending on where I'm wearing it, I can choose between the two.

It's more of a balm, really. The color is very sheer. It is supposed to adjust to your natural lipcolor. So the best way to find out how it will look is to try it in the shop.

I have both products and I like both differently. I usually lean towards the Dior product. It has a more balmy feel, definitely more "comforting" than the Smashbox. Color is different too. Smashbox for me has more of a hot pink while the Dior on my lips has more of a "Salmon" crayola crayon color to it.

I also have, and really like, Smashbox's O Gloss. I think the biggest difference between the two is the shine. O Gloss is really shiny (like a gloss should be) and fairly bright (not sure if that's just how it shows on my lips or if it's because of the shine). Lip Glow is much more subtle--it's a more lipstick/balm-like sheen and not such a bright color.
