Very glittery, if it bothers your contacts, I'd stay away.

I don't know about the liners but the shadows are very long lasting and I guess with a nice primer they can be water proof, just keep in mind that the shadows are powder shadows (just the yellow one is cream)

That would all really depend on whether your a stay safe girl, as ludwig is more neutral tones, or if you are adventurous, as the greens in the gypsy set are really punchy. If you want a little more drama go for the gypsy. I don't feel like people should be limited to certain shades of color due to skin tone and eyes, it is all truly how it is applied that make it look good or um, you need help. Go for the gypsy, who wants to fit in when you're meant to stand out.

I don't know of any directions for this specific palette, but here is a basic way to do a smoky eye with 3 shades:

1- Apply the lightest shadow to the brow bone and to the inner corners of the eyes. Hawkwind, the white/iridescent green, is perfect for this.

2- Next apply a medium shade from lash line to crease, and blend where it meets the highlight. Basically any of the colors would work for this. I usually use Birdcage, Ego Sum, Stryker or Frankie.

3- Apply the contour color (darkest shade) starting at the lash line and blend it up towards the crease so it blends with the medium shade. When you have it blended, it fades from light to dark. Smudge the contour color along the bottom lash line. Q-tips are great if you don't have a smudge brush. For this, I usually use Lucifer or Gunner.

I have experienced any of Kat Von D's eyeshadows creasing (or fading). Best thing to do to make sure they don't crease is to dab eyeshadow primer on your lids first, let it dry and then put on the eyeshadow. Too Faced makes good primer, so does Urban Decay.
