I'm looking for a deep, rich red that compliments my skintone. I have light-medium asian skin. I'm considering Gala 21and Greta 22. What do you think? or if you have any other recommendations please do.

Take a look at Geisha also.. Not as bright (or crimson) as Greta.

You only mention that you want a red color, but since you didn't specify any other attributes and you're open to other brands, see if these work for you:

1) For a red with sheen and shimmer, and is moisturizing: Guerlain's KissKiss Maxishine in Red Shine 620. It also lets just a little of your own lip color through.
2) For a red with no sparkle at all, moisturizing and sheer: Laura Mercier HydraTint spf 15 in Crimson.
3) For a highly pigmented, matte RED red, Revlon Matte Lipstick in Really Red 006.

I have all the above colors, and I adore each one. Red is such a fun color! Good luck, and I hope you find what you're looking for!

I'm asking about Gabrielle 60 - it's the "pale pearly pink" I want to know if it is a full coverage colour that might look pastey, or chalky.
Sometimes those really pale colors can look cakey or really '50s -- which is really nice on some people but not what I'm looking for. I'd like some advice on the texture and look of this color. Any description would be helpful. Thanks!!

If you are shopping online and going by the colour swatch dont, i did and was just not satified w/ the colour or the feel...good luck!

I find the colors remain true and saturated. The lipstick has a reflective color quality ; even the reds and deeper colors do not fade or change. There will probably not be a chance of any pasty look because of the texture and moisture of the product and the reflective nature of the colors. The colors do not change after application.

I THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS COLOR.....I WAS AFRAID TO THAT IT WOULD BE PASTY OR CHALKY AND NOT GIVE ME ANY COLOR...WRONG..IT IS MY FAVORITE LIPSTICK EVER AND I WEAR THE COLOR WITH EVERYTHING.....IT GOES ON CREAMY AND STAYS A LONG TIME...BEAUTIFUL ROSE COLOR WHICH IS FLATTERING TO MY BLONDE HAIR AND GREEN EYES....THE ONLY COMPLAINT NI HAVE IS THAT YOU CAN'T BUY REFILLS YET FOR THE GORGEOUS MIRROR CASE BUT MAYBE SOON....GOOD LUCK! :)

Gardenia #2 is almost always available at Nordstrom & Neiman Marcus (I say almost because it's a really beautiful color that's very popular!)

BUT right now, Sephora is gearing up for Valentine's Day with a limited/special edition Guerlain lipstick in three colors--one of which is #2! Go get it, it's worth it!

It was 'gardenia' a light pinkish brown pink, I'm not sure why they no longer have it at Sephora (or maybe they never had it) but you can get it at Nordstrom.com

I'm fair skinned and blonde as well, Gala was way too garish on me I wouldn't recommend it. Try Greta! It can always be blotted down to suit you. Good luck!

Guerlain's Rouge G in Gala Red #21 would be great. Its a true blue red so it should not turn orangey. Good luck!

The compact is not refillable per the Guerlain sales associate at Neiman Marcus. It is a "luxury item,"

I like Geisha..if you like deeper colors. I find that it is not a blue based so blue-based, and is not so "bright".. One of the best colors for me I have found..

Does Gisele 08 have purple tones? It's described on Sephora as a pink, but on Guerlain's site as a plum brown. I'm wanting a medium rich pink without glitter or sparkle. Thanks!

I would say Sephora's description of a deep golden rose is more accurate than the other one you got at the Guerlain site. There is no purple or plum in it at all. It is more toward the warmer side of the spectrum than the cooler side. It is definitely warm, pinky-rose--not plum or purple or orange. It does have a soft "metallic" shimmer to it, so if you are looking for more of a gloss without shimmer you would not be pleased with it.

Hi! I just posted a review on Gisele but it may not be up yet. I too had looked at the different sites to see the colors, and it is hard to choose because they are all different! I LOVE Gisele. If you want a medium, rich pink, this is your shade. Gisele does not have any hint of plum, as shown on the one site. It is definitely a warm pink, almost like a golden rose. The color shows up beautifully. There is a very subtle hint of gold, which is not a shimmer in any way. You'll see when you try it. I went with this shade because I wanted something I could wear with just about anything, and this is it! I hope this helps.

It isn't flavored but it does have a 'Guerlain-y' scent to it. I can't place scent, except to say it's very faint and smells vaguely of expensive french-milled soap. Happily, it doesn't taste like french soap :P.

Straight from the tube, without eating or drinking, you wouldn't have to re-apply for a couple hours. It isn't sip or kiss-proof.

For this price tag I am so disappointed that this lipstick is not in Sephora stores for testing! I am fair skinned (with a neutral undertone), dark hair and blue eyes. I have been thinking about the Geisha, but am not sure if this color would be good on me. Thanks :)
