Question
Can you wear during the day under your make up?

answer 1
I do! Be sure to wear a moisturizer with spf during the day. Without that, the benefits of the product are worthless. Alternatively, you can use it only at night before wearing moisturizer.

You can totally wear this during the day under your makeup. I do. It absorbs into the skin in less than a minute and it doesn't mess up my makeup. In fact, this serum brightens and smooths my skin out so nicely that I sometimes don't even wear primer after applying this because my skin feels so even. I love it!

Yes, this is not a night treatment, it goes on perfectly clear and not too sticky. No problem applying makeup over it.

I put this all over my face (avoiding eye area) and neck, and I use between 2-3 pumps depending on how dry my skin is. The really nice thing is it absorbs in about a minute without a greasy residue..

I've found one pump is plenty. Less is more, especially with a serum this concentrated (and expensive!).

It's great for breakout-prone skin. It brightens and never causes additional breakouts (on me, anyway). I use it in the day and Ole Henrickson's Night Invigorating Gel at night--which is amazing for acne-prone skin.

I don't have a problem with oily skin, but I do (even at age 52!) get breakouts occassionally. I would say that Active Radiance Serum will definitely help. Since I have been using both Active Radiance Serum and Philosophy Miracle Worker moisturizer, I haven't had a breakout and my skin is looking great.

Brilliant for skin with breakouts... no stinging at all! It also faded my current breakouts quickly... and it also absorbs very well. I have tend to have an oily t-zone and after cleansing it feels wonderful all over.

Yes. The serum is oil free. I don't use anything with oil in it myself. I don't have oily skin, but any kind of oil makes my face break out. I avoid all products with oil (except jojoba) and petrolatum products. I believe the Active Radiance Serum is made for all types of skin.

Yes. I use this at night and during the day. Put it on after cleansing but before applying your night creams if you use any. It absorbs super fast (in less than a minute) so it doesn't make your night time routine very much longer at all.

Use the Active Radiance Serum immediately after washing--on dry (ish), bare skin. Wait one minute before using any other products to let this absorb.

Do you use it at night AND in the morning?
I am 50 years old with fair coloring. I use a prescription Retinol at night. I've been using a sample of this in the morning and after about 3 days my mother has noticed a big difference.

I think if you're using retinol at night, I'd skip the serum. Use the serum twice a day on the days you don't use the retinol. I'm not positive on this--you might want to ask your dermatologist. I use a retinol product about once or twice a week and skip additional products on those nights.

I actually used the Active Radiance cream and didn't like it. It did not have the same effect as the Serum. I'm not sure if I used it right, either. One box said to massage it onto dampened skin. The sample I got (afterwards) said to massage it onto dampened skin and then rinse. ? Either way, I didn't care for it and won't buy it again. It, too, is pricey. The serum, I think, is more highly concentrated in Vitamin C. It is lighter and absorbs easily. After washing your face, massage the serum into your skin. Wait at least 1 minute before applying your moisturizer. If you are referring to the Essential C Daily moisturizer, though: I didn't like that either. It has spf, but left my skin rather greasy feeling. Thankfully, I only tried a sample and didn't purchase it. Instead, after the Serum, I have been using Philosophy's Miracle Worker. There is no spf in Miracle Worker and you'll either need to add one or use a foundation with spf. Using the Active Radiance Serum and Miracle Worker together, twice a day, has made a huge difference in my skin. It is brighter and softer and I could tell a difference in my skin within a week of using both products.

I use this product only at night, 7 days a week and have had it for 3 months. The way it's packaged makes it hard to tell how much is left, so I'm not sure how much longer it will last.
