It can be sharpened and it is a very soft pencil so I find it has to be frequently to go on well.

Yes, I sharpened mine. It's a little harder to turn than a wooden liner pencil....the tip is surrounded with wax or plastic, I think.

Hi,
Sephora sells a variety of sharpeners that work perfectly. Look for one that contains the shavings in an enclosed section, plus one that has a duo size. They're very inexpensive and last until they get lost. Sephora makes as nice duo sharpener as does NARS and UD (Grind House). DuWop had a great duo sharpener, too, that sanitizes tips as it sharpens. I've found a good sharpener with really sharp blades protects from product loss and drag caused by poor sharpeners or dull blades.

answer 9
Yes - it sharpens easily with a regular makeup pencil sharpener.
answer 11
Yes it can! But the downside to that is, if you touch up your lips throughout the day, you must walk around with a sharpener. That can turn you make up bag into a Hot Mess. I hope they make it an automatic liner.
