Questions & Answers for SEPHORA COLLECTION Colorful Nail Buffers

can you use these on nail polished nails?
I have this at home, but I only do all 4 sides when my nails are naked ( ie no nail polish). OR if there is nail polish on, I only use the file one.
Is this right? I'm afraid if i use the other 3 sides on nail polished fingers/toes it will come off

I would not suggest using this product on the whole nail with polish on. It will remove the polish.

You do not want to use an file or buffers with nail polish on!! The nail polish will clog and fill all the gaps in the file/buffer. ALWAYS take off your nail polish!!

Hi! You're absolutely right-a couple of the sides of this buffer will most likely take your polish off if you try to use this tool on painted nails. I would only use the file side and MAYBE the polish side to add some shine to your paint job but that's the most I would try. A quick note though-painting and putting a coat of top coat on the very tips of your nails secures your manicure and prevents water from getting in, which cuts chipping down immensely. If you file your nails while they're painted, you're exposing the tips which will allow water to get in and cause chipping to happen much quicker. Just a little FYI from me to you! :)

Use with polish if you have a snag, but if you use it on the top of the nail when they are polished, it will come off.

You are correct -- these are ONLY for use on bare nails with no polish.

answer 6
I have experimented with using this product before and after I have polished my nails and the results are outlined below.

Before I polish my nails:

If you file and buff then paint your nails this works great as your nail polish lasts longer, but if you do all 4 steps and then paint your nails they are too shiny/silky and the polish slides right off.

After I polish:

If you polish and shine after you apply your color it seems to come off and spread weirdly.

So, in conclusion if you do steps 1 and 2 then polish your nails it works great or if you do all 4 steps and no nail polish it works out well too.

I hope this helps!

Use this nail buffer on naked nails only.

answer 8
Correct, this is for use on natural, naked nails. You can use it before polish.

answer 9
Yes, you are correct. I eliminated the nail polish routine and went natural with these as time constrictions made it easier. However, they are not effective for polished nails as they would ruin the polish and you would not
be buffing and polishing your nail surface.

I'm not sure of the size of the individual one but these are about 2 inches long and each side is about 1 inch. Hope this helps!

Hi! No, these are not as long as the Sephora nail file. The are probably about half the size but they are the perfect size for the job. I would highly recommend them!
