Yes and no. It is lighter, maybe a bit less amber and a bit more floral in the tone. I love the original, but love this even more for the summer.

I doubt they do, since Stella McCartney is such a big animal/vegan advocate. Her clothing line uses no animal products, so I doubt she would allow her cosmetic line too.

Is this the stella sheer that was out last summer?

There was a stella sheer that was limited edition during last summer. The bottle was darker but lighter on the top. It looked more like the original stella bottle. Is this new stella sheer the same scent, but just a different bottle?

No, this version has lemon and apple as its notes while the version that was released in 2008 contains rasberry. This 2009 version is the same as the 2004 and 2005 versions.
