I also like this better than smashbox. I wear bare escentuals as my foundation and to me, smashbox is too greasy, even the lite formula. This is not greasy at all. It really does keep shine at bay and I do not notice steaky makeup or blotchy spots at the end othe day like I had with smashbox.

I like it much better than the smashbox primer - much lighter and easier to apply. It seems to absorb better and I prefer the tube.

No SPF. I would suggest a SPF moisturizer or SPF foundation or powder if wearing makeup.

Question
Allergen information
I have a severe allergy to gluten (and to corn) so I am wondering if you know what the "starch" is derived from listed in this product's ingredients list. I'd love to be able to try it, but I'm afraid to without knowing if it will cause me to get sick or not. Thanks in advance for any help.

Wikipedia states "Hydrogenated starch hydrolysates are produced by the partial hydrolysis of starch - most often corn starch but also potato starch or wheat starch. This creates dextrins (glucose and short glucose chains). The hydrolyzed starch (dextrin) then undergoes hydrogenation to convert the dextrins to sugar alcohols." Closes thing I can find so far...
