Questions & Answers for AmorePacific Treatment Cleansing Oil Face & Eyes

Question
How long will this bottle last?
I really want to try this since I really liked Shu Uemura, unfortunately they're often out of stock and I'm sick of waiting. But this is quite expensive for a cleanser; does anyone have a general idea of how long one bottle will last?

I use two pumps per wash, which is definitely plenty, twice a day at morning and night. So far it's lasted me 2 months and i'm not halfway through the bottle.

I bought it in November, and I still have a little less than half the bottle left in March.
You only need to use 2-3 pumps for full face makeup!
Pretty long lasting, I would say.

The AmorePacific rep at my local Sephora said the bottle should last a year. However, I don't know if that was using one pump per wash - which I have found to be inadequate to cleanse my whole face.

I use two pumps, twice a day and I've had mine so far for 3 months, and there's about 1/2 a bottle left.

It would last a long time - the bottle is great - it dispenses just the right amount - you don't waste any because of too much coming out of the bottle. Wish I could buy an empty bottle at the Container Store or someplace.

The bottle will last forever and quite honestly its a treat(meant). Its a pump and you don't even need a full pump to cleanse your face. Considering its an oil cleanser, it would go a lot further then another type. Sometimes its VERY true, you get what you pay for! with anything in the Amore line,it is sooo true with everything!!!!

I used the brand you mentioned, I like this brand equally good or better. It will last a long time, use only two pumps. Three pumps are too many.

Question
What is the scent of this product & is it strong?
I don't like overscented products, especially something that I'm using all over my face and eyes. I know that other AmorePacific products I've tried are heavily scented,so, before I ordered this, I wanted to get some feedback on the smell of the product. Thanks!

I like the scent of the product. It's not overpowering, and fades quickly.

I use the AMore Pacific CC cream, which I agree, is very scented...but I just got used to it...the cleansing oil is also strongly scented but because its texture is so light, and it doesn't sting my eyes, I don't mind it. The Josie Maran cleansing oil is scented with a citrusy scent which scent-wise is a lighter scent, v. the more "perfumey" style of scent that Amore uses but for me the lighter oil is much easier to use, and more comfortable to use, so I have switched to using only the Amore Pacific. I prefer it to DHC's oil as well, another heavier oil...and I prefer Amore over Shu's. Also, I will not use any facial cleansing oil with any mineral oil in it either. Try Amore, if it doesn't work for you, you can always return/exchange so buy it with confidence!

Nope! Lightly fragranced--so you know it smells like something, but you're not like "ugha, perfume-y ickiness."

The scent is consistent with the other products in their line. However it doesn't linger and fades rather quickly.

Unfortunately yes there is a scent to this product and for me it is strong, however I have not noticed any reaction by my skin from it. That however does not deter me from using this product.

Question
Can I use my Clarisonic with this product?
I'm addicted to using my Clarisonic, and so I'd like to know if it can be used with this oil. If so, what would be the best way to do so? Thanks

It won't foam if you use clarisonic on it, since it's an oil cleanser. If you still want to incorporate this product, I'd suggest applying the oil with your barehands, and then using the clarisonic to massage the product into your skin, then wash off.

I use this with my Clarisonic. I put the cleansing oil on my dry face (per the instructions) then wet the Clarisonic brush and begin. It actually makes this cleanser foam up. I get an amazing clean. When I use my toner, there is no residue left behind. However - although this product is amazing for the eyes/eye make-up removal, dont let the clarisonic cleanse the undereye area. I did and it made my undereye skin overly dry. Hope this helps!

I personally am AmorePacific all the way! I will tell you it is suggested as a good combo in skin care per a top notch dermatologist and its also recommended as a combo purchase at another place that sells AP. Ill leave out the NaMe but I am sure you can figure out. Hope this helps :)

I use the clarisonic with this product. The oil is dispursed a little better if you wet your face prior to using the oil. I lightly spread the oil over my face prior to using the clarisonic rather than putting the oil directly on the brush head. Works great and rinses off easily.

How is it compared to Other Cleansing Oils?

Josie Maran's Argan Cleansing Oil is much heavier and thicker...it's not comfortable to remove my waterproof mascara with it and rinsing this oil is harder - it's just too thick textured! The Amore Pacific smells very nice and I was afraid it would burn/sting my eyes but actually, it doesn't! You also use a bit less because of its thinner, lighter texture/weight.

I can only compare to the DHS Japanese brand. This is more delicat and scented. I think it works equally well. The bottle, etc is also better designed.

Question
If I don't wear makeup, should I use this?
I normally don't wear makeup (or if I do, it is just light foundation and no eye makeup), would you still recommend this cleansing oil? I currently use Amore Pacific's Cleanser Foam and really like it, but I love the brand so much I'd be open to trying this one, too!

I rarely use makeup, but I still use this product because you can really feel it cleaning away all the dirt, grime, and oil that builds up on your pores. It also leaves your skin feeling very supple afterwards.

I don't normally wear make-up either, but this definitely helps clean up the regular toxins we absorb day to day. Amore Pacific makes it so I have less of a need to cover my face with make-up!

Sure, and you'd probably only need one pump to cleanse your face! I think this is just gentler than the foaming wash. I think you'll like this!

Question
Do I need to use a toner with the Oil?
I have used a face wash followed by a toner for as long as I can remember. I would like to switch to the Cleansing Oil as everyone seems to love it. Do I still need to use the toner afterwards? Will the lack of toner cause me to breakout?
Thanks a lot!

Honestly, I never had to use a toner, just because this product left my face feeling fresh. I only apply a moisturize and then move onto makeup, and I haven't had a problem with my skin since I switched over.

If I wore heavy make up that day, I will usually do a light cleanser after the cleansing oil, if not, I will still tone. I was told it's not necessary but I personally like it better to just be sure. Although, if you have dry skin, it might be much.

I still use toners--but not directly after this product. Otherwise, you sort of defeat its purpose by taking out the 'good stuff' you've just put on. I just tone at different times now.

answer 4
I think that it's based on your preference. A toner is meant to pick up any last traces of dirt/oil/makeup that the cleanser didn't get and prep skin for the moisturizer. I don't use a toner, but instead use the Amore mist to prep skin for my moisturizer and it seems to work fine for my acne-prone skin. (I stopped using toners years ago as it dried my skin out too much and aggravated my condition). Hope that helps!

It is if your mascara is not water proof, it cleans pretty well, rub the oil on your face and gentle bring what's left from your fingers to your eyes, becarfull when you wet your fingers to spread water on your face and eyes, so it doesn't go inside your eyes, then wet a cotton ball and make it only humid, this way you don't get your eyes too wet.

Does it remove mascara? Oh, yeah! For super-duper waterproof stuff, I'll still follow up with Sephora Brand water-proof eye make-up remover, but cleansing oil will remove anything else with ease.
