Question
Color?
I have very fair skin and I was wondering if I should buy light or medium? I know by instinct you would say Light, but for some self tanners I have tried in the past, when I used the Lightest formulas, it didn't do anything so I would have to buy medium. Does this light formula still give nice good tan color?

I am glow in the dark white (ultra porcelain). The Light-Medium gives me a nice tan color. The med-deep works great too - but it really makes me dark & while the color is natural looking, it's just odd on me because I'm normally so pale.

It gives a great tan color, very natural looking. I was asked if I went on vacation the first time I used it. Light might be a good way to start though, because I use the medium and it is pretty dark.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THE MEDIUM AS THE COLOR IS MORE OF A GLOWLY FINISH RATHER THAN A "TANNED" FACE LOOK

I have fair skin and I bought the light formula. If you build you tan by applying the lotion everyday until it's dark enough, you should get a natural tan that's what you want!

Question
Can you use it on face?
I know that they do sell a face formula, but I was thinking since this formula is oil-free, could I just use this body one so I wouldn't have to buy an entirely seperate product? Has anyone successfully tried this on their face?

I have used it on my face with no problems. Don't get into your hairline tho - if you have fair hair or grey hair at the roots, turns it orange.

I do use it on my face and have broken out (but it also makes my back/shoulders break out too). I have "issued" with my skin. It requires constant maintenance to keep it clear.

Yes...it is for about 20-30 min. Also depending on where you live. I live in humid Fl. so it feels more sticky.

It doesn't feel sticky when applied unless you put too much on. You dont need a whole lot. If you do put too much on, than it feels like too much moisturizer that doesnt dry.

it lasted about 2 days for me, but it easily comes off if you exfoliate in the shower or use a loofah. I had to wash really gently so it didnt come off as easily.

As for me, I find that I need to apply every day to every other day. But I also use a pouf and body scrub in the shower, so this may cause the color to fade quicker than normal.

The infos say it should last 3 days. If you a bronzer look, you have to reapply everyday until it's dark enough. Otherwise, if you reapply every other day or every two days, the tan is suppose to last as long as you wish.

Go with the dark. I also have medium light skin with an olive undertone. Because I can get very dark on my own I go with the darkest choice so that I can actually see a difference. So far I have not regretted it!

i wd use medium/dark. you only have to use it one or two days in a row and your skin will show the color. DO NOT put clothes on for about 1/2 hour after you apply - i usually apply it right after I have showered and then proceed w/make up, drying & combing my hair, and then dressing to go about my business. again i only use this on my legs because i get plenty of sun exposure everywhere else.

I started with the light/med. It is hardly noticeable but that is the look I wanted. A touch of color. I would try the lightest first and if not dark enough after a couple of days of application I would return for the darker shade. Just depends on where your color is at. Right after winter or mid spring etc.

I am also a light medium but I purchased the medium-dark lotion and it is a great color it does not make you look orange gives you just enough color gradually.

Question
Bronzer vs. Self-Tanner
What's the difference between a bronzer versus a self-tanner? Does a self-tanner stay on a few days while a bronzer washes off in the shower? Please explain!

answer 1
The difference between a bronzer and a tanner is that a self tanner is sort of like hair dye. Once you apply it, it needs at least 4 hours to develop into a color on the skin (I recommend just sleeping in it for longer), once you shower the color will stay for up to a week. A bronzer on the other hand washes off immediately.

My understanding is a bronzer is like powder. It comes off when you bathe. A self-tanner usually stays on 7-10 days.

This contains both. A light bronzing appearance for now and a self tan for later. I don't notice much was off in shower. It is not a heavy duty self tanner. Just a light natural one that could offer buildable color.
