My eyes are pretty sensitive. They water very easily. This product does not bother my eyes. If I do happen to wipe at my eyes, it does wipe off though.

answer 2
It was okay for inner eyelids, and I have semi-sensitive eyes (watering up, dryness), but if you use it as a regular liner, any kind of tearing up will make it run badly (i.e. windy weather, cold, allergies).
I can't answer for ingredient-sensitivity.

Yes, it's good for sensitive eyes. I bought this because I wanted an eyeliner that lasted all day and it deffinetley does. Just make sure that you rub under your eyes carefully every once in a while because it can smudge down a little bit if you put it on your waterline.

Question
How do you apply this eyeliner?
I just bought this eyeliner because I wanted something that would not tug on my eyelids and would be smooth and incredibly dark.
I am just wondering if you would apply it like a regular eyeliner and if not, how should I apply it?

make sure to set it with powder - eye shadow or face powder will work... then it will stay put all day. Use as a regular liner, set with powder on a liner brush, or use the powder/shadow to smoke it out giving an amazing smoky eye. Experiment with different color shadows to set and you will see some AMAZING looks!

You put your fingers on the skin under your eyes and then pull down. You will see your waterline, which is the line that your bottom eyelashes are connected to. Apply the eyeliner on to your waterline.
You can also put this on your eyelid right above your eyelashes, but sometimes it smudges onto the top of your eyelid from having your eyes open or looking up.
I just recommend it on the water line and liquid eyeliner for the top of your eye on your eyelid.

I applied it inside the eyelid--on the top lashes just inside the lid directly under the lashes--on the lower lid, on the inside rim. I go a Bollywood look doing that.

Question
Stop the smudging?
How do I get this product to stay put, when using it as any eyeliner? I tried it once and within only 1 hour it was all over the place (on my eye lids, in my tear ducts and below my eye). I love how the product looks but it gets all over. Is this meant to only be smudged and used for smoky eye and not as a defined line for eye liner? Thanks.

It will not work when applied anywhere else but inside the inner eye rim. That's all its meant for!

It absolutely needs to be "set" with a powder. If you want a defined line, not smoky, just set with a black shadow on an eyeliner brush. You can also set with different color shadows to give it some amazing dimension. If you want the smoky look, set it with a powder while "smoking" it outwards from your eye. If you line your lower water line, you obvioulsy don't have to set it with powder, it will stay put, but setting it makes all the difference!

Try drawing the line and just after use a Qtip to "take off" excess from the bottom area of the line. Yes, you may have to check your mirror a bit more often when using this pencil, but the color is worth it. And don't rub your eyes! ; )

yes - (listed on the box as one of the last ingredients) "cetyl" alcohol , BUT not like regular alcohol.

According to http://www.truthinaging.com/ingredients/cetyl-alcohol:

"Works as an emollient, emulsifier, thickener and carrying agent for other ingredients contained in a cosmetic solution. It keeps the oil and water parts of an emulsion from separating, and gives products good spreadability. As a thickening agent and surfactant, it helps alter the viscosity and increase the foaming capacity of non-aqueous (i.e. lotions) and aqueous solutions (i.e. shampoo). It is often misinterpreted as an "alcohol" related to ethyl or rubbing alcohol, both of which can be extremely drying to the skin. The truth, in fact, is quite the opposite, as cetyl alcohol is well known to effectively condition and soften the skin and hair. Because of its multi-functional capabilities, this ingredient is used in a wide range of personal care products..."

Question
Why is there a price diffference between the two colours?
The black is $25 CAN, while the brown is $29 CAN. If anything, I would have thought the black would be more expensive (darker pigment).
