I'm thirty three and have had acne since my teens (I thought it was supposed to go away :-/) In any case, my skin has really cleared up since using this. I broke out for about a month, but now my skin has never looked better. I use the acne head and wash.

I experienced some sensitivity and mild breakouts when I started using the Clarisonic, but it dawned on me one day that the brush head was all wrong...I was using the normal when I should have been using delicate. Give the delicate a try, and don't press hard. I think you'll be amazed at how your skin feels.

You may notice some breakouts after you start using the Clarisonic because the oscillations are cleaning out the pores and bringing them to the surface. I would give your skin a full cycle to really see the results (between 28 days to 60 days)... Sometimes things get worse before they become great

I have acne also and thought the Clarisonic would help it but unfortunatly it did not. I don't think it makes it worse but make sure you use the sensitive brush head only that may be your problem. Also make sure you put on any acne treatments directly after you are done cleaning your face so they can absorb faster. Hope that helps

Sephora does not ship Clarisonic brushes to Canada. However, if you go to www.fabove.ca, you can get all the same brushes from a Canadian location.

Hello:
I use a salicylic acid cleanser with it, my skin is fine. However, I have very non-sensitive skin (it can take a lot) so this may not be right for you.

Hi,

I think it might be too much. You could try it once a week and see how your skin reacts, but if it was me, I'd not do it.

Hope this helps.

i have this and i use a glycolic wash with it. i would not use it everyday. i use my wash about 3 times a week, the other times i use a regular wash. this brush works so well i think that it might be too much to be used daily with both

i never had a pimple in my whole life till i started working for M.A.C. the foundation there gave my cystic acne. i went to sephora to buy a new foundation and they showed me the clarasonic. it cleared my skin up in a month without using any harsh chemicals or drying face washes. it cleans deep without that. i wud use purity with it bc it tones as well and is good for clearing out pores! hope that helps!

You really have to try the cleansers and see which one you like and what's right for you. I sure do hope it helps with the wrinkles. I hardly have any wrinkles and I just turned 50. All I know is that it makes my skin feel so amazingly clean and soft.

You don't need to buy the cleansers. In fact, they're nothing special. I would recommend using your regular cleanser.

If you use it daily, the manufacturer suggests every 3-4 months. Its very easy to replace & you can try other brushes (normal, sensitive or delicate) to see which works best. If you own the Clarisonic PLUS, the body brush should also be replaced every 3 months. Hope I could help :)

think of it like a toothbrush: once the bristles start separating and looking flat, replace it. if it starts to make your skin a little reactive (i.e. red or breakout) replace it.

call the company it may still have a warranty. when you have a battery powered device it is never good to leave it on the charger when not in use. i charge mine about one a week and use it twince daily. when you first get it is also recommended to alway it to get a full charge before using usually 24 hours

Here's a couple of things that might help:
I believe that the unit might be similar to some cell phone batteries - it may be best to let the charge completely down before attempting to recharge.
Also, be sure that the outlet you plug the unit into isn't one that turns off when you turn your bathroom light out - it will never have the chance to charge up that way (a lot of men's razors fall victim to this).
The batteries cannot be changed - you could send the unit back to the manufacturer for repair/replacement (surely a fee involved).
I hope things work out for you - good luck!

I use mine in the shower each morning. You should avoid submerging the entire thing under water (such as leaving it at the bottom of a full bathtub of water) but don't hesitate to take it with you in the shower. It was designed to do just that!

Question
I have sensative skin
I was told by my dermatologist to only use cetephal on my skin & body. I was also told to use a moisturizing cream with no fragrance or chemicals in it with a sunblock 45 in it. The question is does this get rid of fine lines as well?

Using the Clarisonic itself will not do anything about fine lines, but the products you use with it can help. The Clarisonic will help your skin creams be absorbed by your skin better thus improving their efficacy. It also increases circulation which can help your skin be healthier in the future. As far as what creams you can use to help with fine lines on your sensitive skin, just ask your dermatologist so you can get a personalized answer for what would work best on your skin.

I have very sensitive skin as well. I had a minor breakout after I started using the Clarisonic, but I stuck with it. I just figured that it was my skin getting used to the unit. Also, the Clarisonic cleans your skin so completely, that your normal beauty products are able to get down deeper into your skin and work better. I'm glad I stuck it out, and happen to think that I was right about my thinking since I haven't had any breakouts since. I'm only 30, but I've spent a lot of time out in the sun in my short lifetime. I was starting to get sunspots and some fine lines. Since using the Clarisonic, my sunspots have lightened and the fine lines have almost disappeared. Again, I'm attributing that to the Clarisonic allowing my anti-aging skin care products to work deeper and better. The company recommends that you use it twice a day, so I only use it once a day due to my sensitive skin. I also use the delicate brush it comes with. The Clarisonic is a total must-have!!
