No, because it's water in a can. What it can do is make very matte foundation look a little less matte and if you've put too much powder on, it can help make it look less cakey. But honestly, you could get the same effect by getting a spray bottle and just putting some tap water in it and using that. No way is this worth the money.

It shouldn't cause any breakouts, it is basically a refreshing watery spray. It is not oily at all. My skin tends to break out easily from products but I had no trouble with this at all. I used it quite often on my trip and still had no trouble.

As an avid user of Evian spritzers, I find that it balances my skin. Because it is a neutral pH and has a healthy amount of minerals, it can help reduce breakouts if not eliminate them completely. I live in the South where it is hot and humid always, I spray my face to cool me off 4 or 5 x a day.

I've been using this product for a while and it hasn't made me breakout. I have sensitive skin so I'm prone to break out with harsh products but have yet to break out from this spray. Hope this helps!

I have combination skin in the winter-oily in the summer.
I'm going on a road trip w/ my family soon, and a sink will not always be available...I'll manage somehow =(......Anyway, a refresher sounds good- but will it just sit on my oily skin and make it worse? Or does it somehow get rid of that oil?

it is refreshing but it will not get rid of the oil on your skin (unless you spray it and then dab off it takes some oil off )

This would probably be a perfect refresher in the car. I also have combination skin in the winter and oily in the summer. I used this while on an airplane and it was wonderful. I just misted it on my face once in a while since the plane air feels so dry. It never made my skin feel more oily or greasy. It just soaks right into your skin and moistens it. I would suggest that if you want to use it to get rid of the oil on your skin, you use it with some cotton balls or something to wipe your face off with.

Although I have never had a problem with it sitting on my face, I do not think it absorbs as much as it dries on the skin. I think this would be great to have with you, especially if you have limited or no access to a sink. Worse comes to worse, you could spray it on and use a cloth or even a paper towel to pat your skin dry.

I have similar skin as you. For me during the summer, it does not completely absorb into my skin. Some of it does after a couple of minutes, and I just dab the rest off with an oil sheet. It doesn't get rid of the oil but it doesn't make it worse.

I don't think it would "get rid" of the oil. but I would suggest bringing some oil blotting sheets or oil blotting powder. After you have blotted your face with the sheet/powder, just lightly mist it on your face and your skin will absorb it and feel REALLY refreshed and clean!! I hope that helps :)

This isn't going to help you get rid of facial oil, but will freshen your skin. Try the Sephora Collection blotting papers to absorb excess oil during your summer (type "matte blotting papers" in the search bar); I'm partial to the tea tree papers. Have a great time!

I have combination skin and this works well on both the oilier and drier spots. It doesn't really eliminate oil, but it absorbs quickly and doesn't make my skin look oilier.

I have the same skin type and bought this product this winter to help with moisture cause i can't use heavy moisturizers. This summer I'm loving it even more. It absorbs quickly and evenly into skin and does awesome over makeup. It doesn't make my skin oily at all. I've bought this for friends in the northwest and southeast and they all love it! I've taken it camping also and it helped refresh and moisturize but i'd buy face wipes to cleanse and this to follow-up!

The to go size is 5 in high with lid. It doesn't seem like much but the spray is very fine so it lasts a while. This is a great size to try out if you've never used it before.

I use it after putting on my makeup to set it. I've also used it after cleansing my skin and applying toner on days when I don't wear makeup. It feels good and hydrates slightly.

Either! You can apply it to clean skin just to look fresh or you can apply it with your makeup on and it works sort of like Mac's Fix+. It shouldn't make your makeup run. I haven't had that problem.

For setting makeup, you spray lightly in a circular motion over your makeup holding the canister further from your face than you would when applying after cleansing. You do not pat dry for this type of application. You can do this several times during the day.

If I've over done it on the powder I spray a fine mist all over my face but let it soak in instead of patting it off like the bottle suggests. It's also nice to keep a bottle in the fridge and spray some on before going out in the summer for a dewy look.

I would guess that if you use this 3 times a day, just as a quick mist each time (rather than rinsing cleanser off your face with it or something, which of course would use more), then one of the 1.7 oz sized bottles would last you a couple months.

I spray my face 1 to 2 times a day. Each spray lasts approximately 2 weeks. For me this is well worth the refreshment/fun levels. I can't get enough of these sprays.

I used one bottle once a day for a week and I still had a lot left..if you aren't sure about this product I recommend this travel size duo or get the cheapest one and try it out. Once you use it, unless you have REALLY DRY skin,...I think you only need to use it 2x a day..max.

I bought this a month ago and use it when we're working outside, or at the pool and there's still plenty even with my kids "trying" it a few times. It would probably last a few weeks with 2-4 weeks if you used it every single day...I think.

This product, if sprayed lightly, will not smudge or smear makeup. It is such a fine mist of micro droplets that absorb quickly. Also, it's easy to direct the spray.

I haven't had a problem with that. I use two different kinds of foundation, depending on what I'm doing and the climate. I use a mineral powder foundation and a full coverage cream foundation. I sets well with both.

This product works wonders for the skin, but can smear your eye makeup, especially mascara. If you apply a light enough coverage, it won't. But if you close your eyes really tight and apply a heavy amount of coverage, it will smear. Just don't concentrate the product on your eyes. Mainly spray your face.

There were absolutely no makeup issues! I use Bare Minerals, which cab actually make your skin feel a little dry if you don't moisturize properly. This made my face feel great and my makeup lasted all day.

i tried this just for u......it doesnt smear as long as u dont spray too much
i sprayed it very lightly and let it sit for a minute and then dabbed it away and my makeup looked un harmed except for the mascara since it is water avoid the eyes as best as you can and it will be fine

The water is the same, the difference is in the packaging. It's in an aerosol can so that you can spray it...if you put Evian water that you drink in a spray bottle it would more or less be the same thing. I think the reason people prefer to buy this product as opposed to buying a bottle of Evian and using their own spray bottle is the conveniency of this package. The travel sizes are small and easily fit in handbags, the cans have a lid that fits snugly, it's an aerosol and not just a spray, and it's not even really a spray, it's a fine mist. BUT the short answer to your question is - it's the same water.

this is a spray. it comes out in really small droplets of water. it's the same water evian uses for drinking water, so it's really safe to put on your face.

If you are talking about the bottled water, then they are the same. The difference I think is that the packaging allows the water to be controlled in a very fine mist. I have tried filling the evian in a spray bottle- not the same effect.

Well for starters it's a light mist so you don't drink it. The mist is used to revive your skin and help remove impurities without having to remove your makeup. It's an easy way to "freshen up" on those hot summer days, long flights and long days at the office!

It will not dry out your skin if you wear moisturizer every day in addition to using this spray. The only time this dries out my skin is when I use it on the plane due to the cabin pressure.
