What it is: A hydrating fluid foundation that delivers just the right amount of coverage to create a naturally flawless, bare-skin effect. What it does: Diorskin Nude boasts 100 percent natural active ingredients and an extended shade range to create a shine-free, natural glow without masking the skin's texture. With continued use, it improves the natural radiance and beauty of the skin day after day. What else you need to know: This formula is composed of a mineralized water enriched with an exclusive and natural floral water that offers hydration, radiance, and elasticity to the skin. Questions & Answers for Dior Diorskin Nude Skin-Glowing Makeup SPF 15

Question
What is the best way to apply this foundation?
I have been using BE mineral foundation with a Buki brush for years and as I get older my skin is changing and I am going to switch to this liquid foundation. What is the best way to apply this foundation (fingertips, brush, makeup sponge, etc??).

I would say a foundation brush. Yes, it does absorb some of the precious product but it provides an even coverage and is easier to blend. I have tried fingertips before but I hate how it sticks to my fingertips and I have to use soap to get rid of it and I get a thinner coverage (although, its more precise). I usually have very little time to get ready in the morning so I prefer foundation brush. Don't use sponge though, it soaks up way too much product.

I prefer the finish I get using my Sonia Kashuk Flat Top Blush Brush but I've used a MAC 187 (skunk brush), a Kabuki Brush and my fingers and they all work nicely.

I also prefer fingertips. Starting at my T-zone, I work my way out.

I also am an old BM user switching to this product, very happily. I ordered the Dior foundation brush and it is definitely worth it. Makes application flawless, just wash out once a week, same as with the Kabuki brush you're used to from BM.

I prefer fingertips but I also don't apply the make up at the jawline - just my T-zone. A brush might be better to evenly spread it, but I would think fingertips would work fine. The Dior people recommend a foundation brush so might just be a personal preference thing. Good luck.

I wear Bare Minerals in Barely Light, and 022 in this make-up worked great for me. I have fair, freckled skin with pink undertones, and I get red easily. This was the perfect shade.

Thank you for the advice, I managed to get the right shade!

I used Fairly Light too and I wear 020 (my yellow undertones aren't that strong, if yours are try 021 instead).

Hi. I'm a "fairly light" and I found 010 to be the right shade for me. It is as pale as you can get.

I use to wear bare minerals as well, infact I used the same color as you. I bought the next shade up from ivory, however you need to look at your skins undertones to pick from the three shades with in the color up from ivory. I have pink undertones, so I chose that one. But they have one for neutral and yellow undertones as well.

Question
What kind of coverage does this foundation give?
I like a more sheer coverage. I like that it says "natural glow", that's what I'm going for, but I really only like foundation more on the sheer end of the spectrum. Would this foundation work for me?

This product is amazing because it covers flaws, but looks no heavier then a tinted moisturizer. It really is wonderful. I apply it with a brush, but then blend it with the BeautyBlender (damp sponge). It's so natural looking!

I don't remember this to be too sheer, but I like a medium coverage professional finished look, so maybe it was not such a good choice for me--I returned it. It didn't last on my combination (oily t-zone skin), but may be good for someone with dryer skin and no oil or break down issues.

I thought the coverage was a little heavy when applied directly to the skin, so I tried it with a damp sponge and it sheered it out really nicely.

If you want a more sheer coverage, try their new powder version of this line, Dior Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Fresh Powder with SPF 10. It's got fantastic reviews, and would definitely be lighter coverage. It's comparable to bare minerals, but with higher end quality.

I wouldn't consider it to be sheer, it's more medium-coverage. However, the coverage doesn't look cakey at all.. it's flawless (meaning, you really can't tell that you have foundation on). The finish is in between dewy and matte - like natural skin! I hope that helps.

Yes - but if you take it into the store they will replace it for you for free! My bottle was 2/3 empty when the pump stopped working, and I took it in just to ask for advice on how to fix it, and they swapped it for a brand new one with no questions asked. That's why I love Sephora!

Yes, I had that happen to me. I ended up removing the top part of the pump, cleaning it out, reattaching it, and then just pressing down really hard for a couple of times until it started working again. That worked for me, hopefully it'll help you out!

I have the same type of skin and I have used this product with good results, however, did experience an increase in "small red bumps" with continued use. My dermatologist said my small bumps were not acne but rather a "reaction" to something in the product, most likely the chemical sunscreen ingredient "oct,,,,something".... she told me to look for sunscreens with only titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. My bumps have since vanished. Hope this helps.

I too have little acne breakouts and some dry patches, but this makeup doesn't seem to clog pores or anything. With my normal skincare routine, my acne actually cleared! It also covered all the little red patches and bumps on my face. Must be the minerals. Hope that helped!

I have also been advised to never even put on make up do to my extremly sensitive acne prone skin. However, seeing as how it has 100% minerals, I gave it a try an it has even brightened up my complexion and cleared up my acne. This is a safe and quality product, it won't harm your skin (if your not allergic to minerals), only give you healthy results. I would completely reccomend this!

I have always had very little to no breakouts on my skin. I have used this foundation for about 3 weeks now and love it! I have not noticed any clogging of pores, etc. So far, my skin has reacted well to a change. Love the coverage of this one too........it conceals a small "bump" well!

Question
Good for rosacea?~~~
I'm 50 and I've looked all my life for the perfect makeup, too! (After menopause) my skin is now fair/light with pink undertones and some rosacea...(used to be olive/tan! You "girls" will see one day!).

Anyway, I think I'm going to purchase the "Cameo", as this is supposedly for light skin with pinkish undertones....sounds like me. But the makeup color looks "pinkish". I really, really hope it isn't....because pink is the last thing pink undertoned skin needs! Also, the light skin with yellow undertones (shades) look yellow.... not right either.

I'll just hope that the online colors aren't perfect, and listen to the ladies here....Peace & Love

I would use a moisturizer designed to treat rosacea first and foremost and then follow with a green primer (to neutralize redness) and finally apply the foundation last. I have redness in my skin which I think is mild rosacea and this foundation works wonderfully to cover redness without looking unnatural.

Go to the store and get a color check. I'm almost 39 and olive w red in areas. I got the medium beige when colored checked. I can't believe how it matched my skin. I did use a little Lancome cover-up on some broken capillaries but Dior covered the redness. I'm just a nut about coverage.

I wear Cameo 202 in Airflash and Linen 021 in Nude. So if you wear Light Beige 200 in Airflash, try Light Beige 020 or Linen 021 in Nude, depending on your undertones.

it is oil free but it contains 45% mineralized water to hydrate the skin so if you are oily it may make you feel too hydrated- this is more suitable for normal to dry skin types. Most people see a 27% improvement in skin quality within the first month of this product's use though and it also contains zinc which slows oil production and aids in cell renewal/ skin radiance.

it doesnt advertise being oil free, and i cannot find it in the ingredients, but it makes my skin more oily than it already is and it was causing me to break out. my skin did look great when i wore it though...got lots of compliments..stopped using after breakouts and after a few days of the bottle sitting on my counter i could see it seperate. the oil on top -make up on the bottom.......

Sephora is excellent to deal with regarding returns. It's best if you hang on to the original shipping invoice, packaging and postage paid return label that they included in your original shipment. If you are missing some if not all of these items I encourage you to contact customer service anyway, they are more that happy to oblige you in anyway that they can.
