This looks like my favorite lip color "TRENDSETTER"--A great nude color with a hint of peach and glimmer (not shimmer). If it were VINTAGE it would look more beige.

Couture is a rosy color but doesn't seem to have purple in it. I have medium brown hair and hazel eyes and it is the perfect color to enhance (not change) the color of my lips. It's not too dark and doesn't lighten the color of my lips. It doesn't have a big pearl shine, just looks wet on the lips.

What does the brush feel like?
The brush/applicator looks a little different on the screen, so I was wondering what it felt like. Any help?

It's a small brush. The product is so thick that it coats it pretty thickly. That's probably why it's tough to see in the photo..

Love the brush, very smooth and holds a lot of gloss, but doesn't clump.

the brush is a soft brissle applicator that moves with every stroke.

answer 4
It's a very short brisle brush. Very soft. I haven't ever had a gloss with that applicator, but it's nice. I like it better than the sponge applicator. It allows you to get lots of gloss on the end for application.

The applicator is like a brush, not a doe foot applicator. I prefer this applicator because it is smooth and it puts a lot of product on your lips with one swipe.

The first time you use it, it is a bit stiff. But once it is broken in, it is like a soft lipstick brush. Delightful!

The applicator is a very small brush-and is soft and flexible. It looks stiff in the picture but it isn't at all. It's perfect.

I have always preferred a sponge applicator to the brush but am getting used to it. It is very soft and applies the product nicely. This is my favorite lip gloss and I used to drive over an hour to purchase a product that I liked until I found this at Sephora which I like even better.

The brush has soft hair-like bristles and is on the firmer side, but still flexible enough for you to swipe it onto your lips easily and flawlessly!

Question
Why does this lip gloss sting?
Does this gloss plump? Whenever I use this it always feels like it's burning my lips (think a mild lip venom feeling) for a few minutes before it subsides. After the initial burn it's smooth and long lasting with beautiful color. Does anyone else feel this?

Lorac's Couture Shine line is not a "plumping" type but you can look up the ingredients to see if you have a hypersensitivity to one of the items.

It does plump and has hyaluronic acid in it. I also feel it kind of sting/tingle after putting it on. But I love lip glosses that do this!

it does have a small plumping effect, but you may be allergic to one of the ingredients. The beeswax also has a cooling sensation if you know what i mean, but if it's burning to the extent that it hurts, i wouldn't use it.

Mine in Glam doesn't sting at all - far from it - it's very moisturizing and has actually helped my dry lips heal.

I don't think this particular lip shine is also a lip plumper. It does create the look of fuller lips-because the shine makes your lips smoother and juicier. But I think it is a lipstick in a tube with an outstanding shine.

I've never experienced a burning feeling with this item. I'm sorry to hear that. You may be allergic to something that's in it. I strongly suggest you look into that possibility. Stay sexy ladies!

I don't think it stings at all -- it shouldn't contain any plumping agents (irritants) at all -- and, to me, it just feels like regular gloss. Hyaluronic acid doesn't sting -- it hydrates. Perhaps you are allergic to something else in it?
