It's perfect for the waterline because it's pretty creamy so it goes on pretty easily.

I only put eyeliner on my waterline and I havent found a single eyeliner that can compare. I have tried almost all brands and nothing works quite as well. Definitely worth the money. The jet black shows up great and glides on smoothly. No smearing, smudging, nothing! All throughout the day, Its great :)

You CAN use it on the waterline, but will it stay? It didn't on me. It lasted about as long as a car ride home from Sephora and was almost all blinked off. I returned it and got Urban Decay eyeliner (or waterproof eye pencil, which are the same formula as far as my experience has shown) and this stuff will stay on your waterline until you intentionally remove it (and then some).

I bought this eyeliner and wonder if the short tip is all the eyeliner there is? I thought that perhaps it would twist up out of the pencil itsself.

This is a standard eyeliner pencil... so sharpen it up with an eyeliner sharpener! No twisting... but there is definitely more pigment in there and sharpening the pencil will make precise application easier!

Well, it doesnt look like it but it is a sharpen eyeliner. I was totally confused when i first got it because it doesnt look possible to sharpen, right?! Well its quite capable! haha Just sharpen it like a regular sharpen eyeliner. :)

This is not a mechanical pencil (one that you twist up). Just use a sharpener to uncover more of the pencil and put a point on it. If your sharpener is dull, just get a new one (doesn't have to be an expensive one) just one that's sharp.

I use a L'oreal sharpener - turning it slowing and not too much. Be sure your sharpener is clean with each use.

Get a good-quality sharpener. If the blade on your sharpener is chipped or dulled, it will make a mess of your pencils.

This eye liner is easy to sharpen since the product is not so soft. This means also that it is more difficult to blend.

I have been using a standard ol' covergirl sharpener to sharpen this eyeliner. I find though that because this is a softer eyeliner... popping it in the freezer for 20-30 min or so will stiffen it up so that you don't grind down the pigment in your attempt to sharpen! Hopefully that helps and good luck!

you can buy a regular eye-lilner sharpener, any will really do with this one because the pencil is not coarse like most but soft. I recommend a Sephora brand dual sharpener because it allows for both regular and larger sized pencils and leaves a smooth, fine finish following usage.

I have lined my eyes and tried short, soft strokes from left to right from the inner corner to the outer corner of my eye. Then I would finish with a solid tight line on the upper and lower water line.

You can use it in the upper and lower lids to create a smoky effect. Once it sets it stays all day though. I like to put some eye shadow for a night make up so it sets even better. Very pretty liner that gives you the option to have a straight clean line or create the perfect smoky eye.

You are supposed to use the blending tip to smudge out the line that you created. This does not create a smoky eye. It just blends out the line and gives it a softer look. A smoky eye is best created with a blendable eye shadow, but not a liner. Sephora has a 'how to' video on the smoky eye look. This will help you choose your products.

Hello!

I think they discontinued it! When I couldn't find it at Sephora, I checked Benefit's site and it had disappeared from there, too. I was so sad; this eyeliner never left my beauty bag practically since it debuted. I loved it, and I would never buy anything else. I'm slowly warming up to the thinner, waterproof one, but I miss seeing the chubby pink crayon in my bag!

I don't see it on the Sephora website, but check in-store. The original BADgal liner is still available from the Benefit website, so it hasn't been discontinued.

Question
Does this truly last all day on the inner rims/waterline? Does it leave bits of debris?
Is it a dark color that lasts consistently on the waterline, or does it fade and become spotty throughout the day?

Also, does it get little bits of liner debris in your eye and irritate it?

I know this is a bit off topic, but I found the best eyeliner for my waterline for the best price is the Avon wood black eyeliners. Weird because it's so cheap but amaaazing quality. Stayed with a friend in LA who lives off expensive makeup and she borrowed it one day only to come storming to me asking where I got such amazing eyeliner.

I've always had the left over smudges on my waterline when wearing black eyeliner so I know what you mean. This did it too. Only, the smudges weren't as bad because, in my opinion, the initial line is not as dark as some other liners I've used. To answer you question, no it did not stay on my waterline very long at all :(

Umm this eyeliner is partially water-proof... Im a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor and am in the water for up to 4 hours a day, and when I come out only a little is running under my eyes. Mind you, I use a REEEALLY good liner underneath this eyeliner so thats why it stays on so well. I would love to tell you what product I use under this one, but Sephora doesn't allow me to write other products' brands... :(

Does it stay on the waterline?
Ok, I have never been big on applying eyeliner to the lower lash waterline, but recently have tried it and the pencil I used came off within a few minutes. Does this one stay on longer for the lower lash waterline? Thanks so much

Yes and No. I found that it does stay on the inner waterline relatively well, but like many other liners, tends to blend out the longer you wear it

I rubbed off my lower lash line (waterline) the same way my others did. It is really hard to get a nice, bold, smooth line with this pencil (I guess it is not very soft). When you finally do finish applying, it makes that much more frustrating when it starts fading away 30 minutes later.

This eyeliner requires you to reapply 3 times, one after another. It needs 3 layers to last throughour the day. If it's applied like that, it lasts. Good luck!
