I clean mine every day, after every use. It's really easy to do, and literally takes 2 seconds. It's easiest to clean when the foundation is still fresh. Really, it's super easy, there is no trouble at all.

I think it is a good idea to wash it daily, after each use. Otherwise your foundation will be really hard to get out of the sponge and bacteria might grow. I find that it is pretty easy to just wet the sponge, use it, and wash it before putting it away. It doesn't take long at all and I just use a drop of the cleanser each time.

It gets dirty after each use. I clean mine about twice or three times a week. Since I'm the only person using it. Of course, if a professional, it would need to be cleaned after each use.

I have the Bare Escentual brush cleanser as well, and just for the beauty blender, this cleanser just cleanses the beauty blender much faster and makes your life a lot easier. I'd repurchase the beauty blender cleanser.

I thought the same thing, so I have tried different gentle cleansers. But this really made a difference. It takes off the makeup off of it much faster and easier with just a little bit of this cleanser. Also it's supposed to condition and keep the beauty blender bacteria free. And it's easier to wash out the soapy suds compared to anything else I tried.

I say just bite the bullet and get this stuff, because nothing else seems to work if you really want to get your beautyblender clean. I tried all sorts of stuff - dish soap, makeup remover, other brush cleaners, baby oil - none of them seemed to really do much to clean out the foundation residue on my beautyblender. This stuff gets it clean in a cinch, though. Also works well as just a regular makeup brush cleaner, too!

is the separate purchase blendercleanser the same as the one in the pump bottle that comes with the beautyblender?

I've just purchased the blendercleanser on its own, but it seems like many reviews are referring to the pump bottle (not the flip bottle) version. Are they the same? It looks like the pump bottle version is more diluted?
