Questions & Answers for Korres Multivitamin Compact Powder

Question
Can this powder be used as an alternative to foundation?
I hate liquid foundation, so I was wondering if anyone has tried using this on its own, perhaps over primer. (It looks like Korres has recently launched a primer.) If so, does it work?

You can use it as foundation, but it's designed to be more of a setting powder so it's very sheer, so you might not like it if you want better coverage. It's very comfortable, though, and it's designed to absorb oil, so I think it's something you'd want to consider, especially if you want to touch-up sometimes to control shine.

I've used it both with and without the primer. I find I get better coverage if I put it on top of the primer as it seems to "stick" better, so use the primer if you need to look extra-flawless.

What is the difference between this new multivitamin compact powder and the older, and still available, Multivitamin compact powder?

The old one also had bismuth oxychloride in it and I just looked at the ingredients and I don't see it here. This is an ingredient that many with sensitive skin find very irritating. So I am glad to see it is not in this formulation. I am not sure about all the other ingredients though. I want a truly natural product, not one that just markets itself as one. I do like the wild rose foundation and was looking to add a powder....i am glad to see this one is missing the bismuth.

Korres' Multivitamin Compact Powder is a replacement product in new packaging, but I don't know if the formula was changed.

I asked the girl at Sephora when I bought it. She said this one is more matte, but I'm not sure. I haven't used the other one so I don't have a personal comparison.

This is what the sephora customer service rep told me: if you look at the packaging, near the color name, there is an open jar icon. On the icon it will show the number of months you can keep the product after opening the compact. On the Korres compact, it shows 36 months. So you can keep it for 3 years.

all facial powders have a 2-3 month MAXIMUM beauty bag life. ( then it starts craking, cakey, etc.) Since this is all organic, I'm assuming it will last a little bit longer.

I have asked Customer Service and they advised that they discontinued the MVP2 color for some reason. I would just go to Korres' website and order directly from them.

Question
How does this compare to Estee Lauder Double Wear Powder?

I haven't used the Estee Lauder powder for a number of years, had switched to Lancome's powder. I purchased the Korres compact a few weeks ago and just love it. It gives your skin a very flawless look, keeps the shine away and looks fresh all day. I have a fair complexion and use the MVP3. The color is just right. And it's really good for your skin.

I think the MVP4 should do the trick. I am *about* medium skin tone, and it is sheer and generally brightening enough that I believe it will be a good match.

I use bareminerals and then I carry this powder around in my purse for touch ups. It's the only powder I've found that works perfectly well with the bareminerals. It's light and has perfect coverage. I love it.

No. This WILL NOT make you breakout! Trust me. I have been battling stupid breakouts (that came out of no where and ruined my clear skin!) and the last thing I wanted was my makeup to cause more breakouts! So far about 3 weeks with this and this hasn't made my skin react at all. If anything, it is good for you because it doesn't have a lot of bad chemicals, it has oil-absorbing properties so sebum production is lessened and it carries antioxidants! What more can you ask for! Oh and yes, it is oil-free so it won't clog pores. :)

My best beauty wishes!
