Virtually no mascaras contain mercury these days; it's been mostly phased out. However, if you want to double check, you can Google the ingredients for this mascara (or any other) and look for thimerosal.

(1) No, the product doesn't contain mercury. Otherwise it would be listed in the ingredients.
(2) Even if a makeup product DID contain mercury, it's likely to be either an inactive form that can't hurt you, or else so little of it is present that it wouldn't be harmful anyways.

I didn't see anything in the ingredients that would elude to mercury. I would go to the BE website and contact customer service.
