Question
How is this mascara in comparison to the BE Flawless Definition mascara?
I have long, dark lashes, but not curly at all. I read great things about both the Buxom Lash & the Flawless Definition, so I'm torn between which one to order.

I have never used the BE Flawless Defintion mascara, but the Buxom did an amzing job! I do use an eylash curler and lash primer before applying any mascara, however, I have rarely had the results I have with the Buxom. Just after one coat, my lashes looked longer, more voluminous but separate. I have farily long eyelashes, but this really accentuates mine. I do not have any clumping, flaking, or running with this formula. I give it a double thumbs up! I do not think you'll be disappointed at all if you try it! I need to post some before and after images on here. I'll try to do so soon.

In a toss-up between the Flawless Definition and Buxom mascaras, I would go with Flawless Definition. The applicator is great, and did not clump on the end of the brush, as it does with Buxom's hourglass-shaped applicator. Also, I honestly had more voluminous-looking lashes with FD. The applicator coats each individual lash, increasing the volume of your lashes.

I also have long, dark lashes, though I have a bit of natural curl. But the FD formula does hold up with an eyelash curler.

I just tried this mascara out for the reason of volumizing and it did not give my lashes any more volume. I currently use a drugstore brand, I think cover girl or maybeline & it is called collossal volume mascara & it is in a bright yellow tube. I have not found a more expensive brand that works any better!

I didn't get any volume from this. I really think different mascaras react differently to different types of lashes. Mine are slick and straight and fairly long, I generally don't see the same volumizing results as other women I know with the same mascaras. I have had the most luck with Loreal Voluminous, more than Diorshow.

Ooops....posted a wrong answer earlier. Please ignore it. The right one would be......

Sephora designates a product with its natural seal if it follows certain criterion, one of them being:
The product should be formulated to exclude a minimum of six of these eight ingredients:
GMOs (genetically modified organisms)
parabens
petrochemicals
phthalates
sulfates
synthetic fragrances
synthetic dyes
triclosan

If you see the product description it excludes 5 of these ingredients and not 6 as mandated. The 5 being:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Synthetic Dyes
- Phthalates

I cant say I am 100% sure about this but in my mind I think this might be one of the reasons why its not "NATURAL".

Question
What is the consistency of this product?
I got my Buxom Lash mascara today in Blackest Black. I am overall pleased with the results but I found the mascara to be rather thick.
When I swipe the tip of the wand on the edge of the mouth of the bottle I see that the product is more like a thick trickling down paste than a thick liquid.
It makes me wonder whether I have received an old stock which has dried out or is it how the product normally is. Please help.

The mascara always looks this way. It does look thick but glides on very easily and shouldn't be so thick that it clumps on your lashes. Hope you like it!

It sounds like you may have received a bad batch! I recently purchased this and like the consistency. It is 'wet' but not too wet or drippy. Definitely not dry like you mentioned. I think you should return yours and try another one! It is a great product.

It sounds as though you have a bad batch. I am on my second tube and mine has never been pastey. I always blot the end of the brush on a tissue to get any excess off before I apply it and it is a little thick but it is definitely a liquid not a paste. Hope this helps...

Question
Buxom Lash vs. Too Faced Lash Injection?
I swear by Too Faced Lash Injection and have used it for years...but I am wondering if anyone who has used (and normally loves) Too Faced has also tried, or even switched to Buxom, and what your thoughts are. I have yet to find a mascara that makes my lashes as bold and big as Too Faced, but I have heard this one is good, too...thanks!

My experience with lash injection has also been amazing. Buxom isn't as thick and doesn't define as well as lash injection does. If you swear by your old mascara i'd stick to it but buxom isn't bad; try it in a trial size first :)

I have both. Both will add length and definition. Buxom edges out Kiss Me to give you slightly more volume and overall dramatic effects. However, Kiss Me's biggest selling point is its durability. If your priority is a mascara that will never flake EVER, get Kiss Me. It's also MUCH easier to get off. But if you would rather have slightly longer, prettier lashes (not to mention save a few bucks) with average longevity, go for Buxom.

answer 5
I've used both of these mascaras. The Kiss Me mascara comes in more colors, but it's more difficult to apply and it's very drying. The Kiss Me mascara also smudges and often irritates my sensitive eyes. The Buxom is much better: it applies smoothly and it's never drying or irritating, nor does it ever flake or smudge. The Buxom Lash is also much easier to remove using a good eye makeup remover; the Kiss Me mascara is tough to get off and I usually end up losing lashes when I try to remove it. So I would definitely recommend the Buxom Lash mascara. I hope this helps you!

I vote for the Buxom...It's the one I am now using and is now my favorite mascara. I've used Urban Decay, Two Faced, Clinique, etc. etc. This is the only one that lives up to the description it offers and it also washes off much easier than the others.

Virtually no mascaras contain mercury these days; it's been mostly phased out. However, if you want to double check, you can Google the ingredients for this mascara (or any other) and look for thimerosal.

(1) No, the product doesn't contain mercury. Otherwise it would be listed in the ingredients.

(2) Even if a makeup product DID contain mercury, it's likely to be either an inactive form that can't hurt you, or else so little of it is present that it wouldn't be harmful anyways.

Enjoy!
