Question
Compare to Lip Fusion XL?
How does this compare to Lip Fusion XL? I am 53 years old and would really love to hear from other "women of a certain age". Thanks!!

This is a great product to reduce fine lines around the lips. It also puffs up the lips to give them better definition and fuller look. I am 57 and I love it!

answer 3
I like this product better than LipFusionXL because of the texture. It's more of a lotion for your lips than a super-sticky gloss, which is my problem with LipFusion in general. Also, in my opinion, it's more effective for fine lines or wrinkles on the lips than XL and you can use it anytime, or multiple times, during the day as opposed to XL which recommends you only use it before bed. I would recommend un-wrinkle Lip over XL hands-down.

Those creams work differently, in my opinion: the Thomas Roth seems to go deeper in my mouth, and the LipFusion gives me a fresh appearence the minute I put it on my lips.I could say that they seem to complete themselves

As a woman of more than a certain age and have tried both products i felt the Fusion product just irritated the skin causing it to flare/plump up the lip area hiding the lines. Un-Wrinkle does sting a little when you first put it on, but that's it. I feel that over time my skin did become more supple and the skin filled in most of the smaller lines and about half or more of the larger creases.

I haven't noticed an effect on discolorations (I have freckles and acne marks) around the lips, but it definitely helps with the skin texture.

It does not take away hyperpigmentation. It does hide fine lines and wrinkles and puff your lips up.

I've got a couple of hyper-pigmentation spots from the sun right above my upper lip and since I've been using this I'd say they've faded a little bit. Not a lot, but a bit.

answer 6
It helped my 'freckles' around my mouth/lip area diminish or disappear. It will take about 3 to 4 weeks to see a real difference because you have to wait until the pigmented layers beneath the skin get enough of the product to completely fade out the spots. Be sure to keep using sunscreen!

Dermarolling is the best product/treatment for my lip lines. I like this product too, it is the best topical for lip lines. I will continue to use it twice a day.

I left a more detailed answer to another question on this subject. What is helping me the most is dermarolling. I used the 1.5mm roller 2 weeks ago and it has already helped. Will repeat every 6 weeks. I do like this product and will continue to use it twice a day as I think it is helping too. Good luck to you.

This does nothing for wrinkles above the lip line. Try lip injection for lips, and a good anti wrinkle serum for above the lip, Clinique firming, Peter Thomas Roth Firm X, SK- ll line are all good options. Remember to exfoliate and use a good Retin product, as well. These will definately help those lines.

I think it is. I always check ingredients to make sure they are scientifically proven and have looked at about every lip treatment product out there. Some of them have some of these ingredients but none of them have nearly what this product does. Based on the ingredients, my opinion is that it HAS to work. It has for me. Please see my review for details. For now, I believe this is the best on the market. Remember to give it time to work. It is not instant, other than the plumping affect I noticed right away. After 2 months I notice significant changes to my lips and the area around it. Hope this helps!

Question
Two questions, please!
I am 61 years old and have always taken excellent care of my skin, however, some things simply happen with age and one bad habit...what can you do? I was a smoker for many years (quit in 2006) and over the past year, I have noticed lines above my lips as well as the marianette (sp) lines on the sides of my mouth. Honestly, will this item help (on a scale for 1-10...at least an 8) with my smoker's lines and marianette (sp) problems? I look forward to hearing from you...thanks so much!!!! (it would be great if I could hear back from someone 50+...thank u) G

I am using this product twice a day and think it helped the finer vertical lip line closer to my nose over the past month of use. What has helped me the most is 2 weeks ago I started dermarolling w/1.5 mm (will repeat once every 6 weeks w/1.5 mm). While my skin was a blotchy red for 3 days after, my lips and upper lips were so plump and smoothed out, it looked like they had been injected with filler! Dermarolling causes microinjuries which stimulate your own collagen regeneration. The peptides in this product also stimulate collagen, but not as deep as w/dermarolling (I waited a few days after the 1.5mm rolling before re-starting this product). I am going to start rolling w/0.5mm between the 6 week 1.5mm rolling. Go to owndoc dot com for instructions. I feel like I can do something about these awful lip lines that make me feel bad about my appearance. I am not associated with owndoc, just a happy customer and follower! Good luck!

P.S. I am 53 and wrinkles started getting bad around age 50, and got worse more recently.

No. This product will not take care of those lines. I would recommend the Firm X line by Peter Thomas Roth, Cliniques firming serum, a product suited for that from the SK- line and definately buy a mask that has Glycolic or some other acid in it, and a daily exfoliant. A good serum, exfolliater, and once a week mask will help those lines tremendously.

I just listed a more detailed 4 star comment for the lines above the lips. The un-wrinkle lip does a really good job of diminishing the lines above the lips.

Yes. This product is better BY FAR! Use it morning and evening, after you exfoliate your lips. After you apply it in the evening before you go to bed, I suggest using a good night time lip treatment. My favorite is Philosophy's Kiss Me Tonight.

I have been using PTR Un-Wrinkle for almost a year now. It definately smooths the lip line. I was amazed at how fast it worked. I use it morning and night. It has a slight tingling so you feel it working. I haven't tried City Lips yet but might. Of course I will not give up my Lip Un=Wrinkle.
