I'm not sure -it's a new technology brush. If your badger brush lasted a long time, then caring for this brush in a similar way will go a long way toward longevity. I'm curious myself about the bristles-they look like badger, feel similar to badger. The nice thing is there's no odor or chance of mildew because it dries quickly. Great travel brush.

this is a shave brush--it is a tool used to apply shaving cream/lather on the skin/area that is to be shaved. the bristles work the cream/lather into the hair. you need a razor to do the actual shaving of the hair.

Try baby shampoo or my favorite Bare Minerals Well-Cared For Brush Conditioning Shampoo. Put a dime-sized drop on the brush and squeeze the suds through the bristles, then rinse with warm water-repeat until clean. Bare Minerals shampoo removes soap completely, and your brush will feel brand new. It refreshes badger brushes too.
