I think it would; I never used two cleansers and it was fine. Did dry out my skin, though (and I'm combination/oily) so if you already have dry skin it might take a while to get used to.

In my experience it's not great with heavy makeup. With your everyday stuff, it might be fine. For mascara, you definitely need eye makeup remover to get it all off.

You need a makeup remover before using this. This face wash doesn't take off makeup.

This product removes light powders, but you'll need an actual eye make up remover to avoid raccoon eyes.

You may need to use a separate eye makeup remover, but it definitely takes off powder, foundation, and blushes.

it removes my makeup but then again i don't tend to spackle it on. definately not eye makeup( you should use an eye makeup remover- this is too harsh to use on the delicate eye area)

It does help with the removal of make up but it shouldn't be used near the delicate eye area too often.

Question
How long does this product usually last?
This product seems a little pricey, but if it lasts a while then i will consider using it because i love the moisturizer, which I bought about a month ago, and the tube is still half full.

I use about two pumps worth about twice a day, and it lasts me 30-50 days, so I'd definitely say go for it! You'll be really happy when your skin's all nice and clean and acne-free.

This seems to be lasting and I use two pumps per use. The liquid to foam change makes it last longer, which is nice.

Yes, it will last...all you need is 1-2 pumps. I got the kit (the bottle is much smaller) and I had the bottle for over a month. I just got the full sized bottle

One pump twice a day is all you need. I didn't finish my first yet but so far the level of foam hasn't really changed much. It's a big bottle and you should'nt be pumping too much out.

Question
Allergic Reaction???
Ive been using this cleanser and the all over acne treatment for almost a month. And so far I have noticed less acne on my jaw but but still im breaking out the same basicly as before. But my biggest issue is that its making my face itch and im noticing big bumps on my face cheeks mostly not pimples but bumps ,a rash maybe? I dont know.Is anyone else expieriencing this sort of issue?Ive heard your face needs to PURGE when you start a new system like this. And it will get worse before it gets better. But the bumps are just odd, there not pimples just bumps and itchy face.Should i just give up this system and try something else or stick with it for awhile longer?

I don't know if your issue is an allergy but sometimes, if I utilize too many anti-acne products at once, I get dry skin on my cheeks and it is itchy and bumpy. And dry skin is rare for me because I have an oily t-zone but when it happens to me, I rest my skin for a day. (limited product use) and use a moisturizer at night.

I definitely had more breakouts when I first started and yeah I was a bit itchy at first. I need to use a moisturizer with this one, which I didn't need with my previous cleanser. I do not use the On a Clear Day moisturizer because I didn't like it, I use a different one.

If you really think you are having an allergic reaction though, I would take a break from it for a few days and see how your skin reacts.

I don't think that you should expect for your skin to get worse before it gets better with this product. It's gentle and shouldn't cause that to happen to your skin. I'd go into Sephora and ask someone about it, show them the rash and see what the recommend you do.

I also actually had a allergic reaction exactly similar to the first commenter. I had a few small bumps around my jawline and the area was very itchy. After using the product at night for the first time, I woke up with the bumps. I switched from Philosophy to Korres products to find a more natural solution for myself. I am having a lot better experience using Korres and now use only their products for not only cleansing supplies, but makeup as well.

I actually had the same issue. Around my jaw line would itch and get bumps. Definitely not cystic acne, because it goes away after a few hours. I've used Purity Made Simple for years and have never had an issue, nor have I ever had it with any other product, acne clearing or otherwise. I don't have sensitive skin, so it's kind of odd. I could very well be an allergic reaction to something in the product. I've decided not to use it anymore.

Sounds like you are getting cystic acne. If you've always had a problem with acne maybe the produce is causing a reaction.

I wouldn't use this product never my eyes. Any product that isn't specifically made for the eye area can cause irritation. Try the Philosophy Purity face cloths. They can be used all over, even eyes to remove your makeup. Then wash your face with the On a Clear Day Cleanser to actually clean and treat your skin.

NO! you should never use a cleanser with salicylic acid on the delicate eye area. it doesn't effectively remove mascara/eye liner anyway. stick to a seperate cleanser.

Never use anything for your eyes that isn't designed for your under eyes. The area under it is very delicate and the skin is thin, so it's easily stretched out (causing bags and wrinkles) and damaged.

answer 5
NO! Definitley not, dont put this product on your eye area. Its drying because its an acne cleanser. The last thing you want to do is dry out the eye area.Always keep eyes moisturized and use gentle cleansers around eyes. The eye is so much more delicate then other areas of the face an needs to be treated gentle.Drying cleanser on eyes will equal dry flakey eyelids and wrinkling. To wash your eyes use either a gentle eye makeup remover on a cotton ball and gentle swip across eyelids no pulling remember. Then wash your face with this cleanser avoiding the eyes.Or use any gentle face cleanser for eyes.I personally use Loccitane Ultra Comforting Cleansing Milk. Its a face wash but i use it strictly to remove eye makeup. It can be applied same as eye makeup remover and you dont even need to wash it of with water if you dont want to its very moisturizing which is a major plus for the eye area.Just swip on then off with cotton ball.Or use on eyes then wash face with the acne cleanser again avoiding eye area.Hope this helps :) Good Luck

Although I was not happy with this face wash, when I did use it I didnt use it with my clarisonic because I felt i needed to use more product with it since the foam is so light. One pump will suffice just using your hands, but with my Mia I was using 4-5 pumps.

I used it with my Clairisonic and did not like the way it felt with it (too thin and needed to use a lot of product). I prefer a cream cleanser when using the claisonic and for me this cleanser was not a good match for the clairsonic (<-which I love!)

I don't think so :-/ Although it foamed, it didn't lather, if that makes sense. It would foam out and then almost instantly dissolve into my skin, so I don't think a sponge or brush, etc, would be effective.

This face wash is fine to use with the Clarisonic. I usually use two pumps on my face and rub my face in a circular motion to break up any dirt and oil and then add one pump to the Clarisonic bristles and finish cleaning my face. I typically do this for my morning ritual when my face is makeup free.

Question
Replacement for Never Let Them See You Shine?
I am addicted to Never Let Them See You Shine oil control cleanser. Unfortunately, Sephora stopped selling it about a year ago. I bought as many tubes as I could find. And started buying from Philosophy. But now, it is not sold!
I loved how "tight" that cleanser made my skin, especially after I worked out. I am 40+ and don't have a lot of acne but NLTSYShine really gave me a deep clean feeling.

Is this cleanser like NLTSYShine?

Thanks for any input!
