SLIGHTLY, I have noticed a teeny improvement. But I also use tend skin and "high time bump stopper cream" which may have something to do with that. Sephora should consider the high time bump stopper, it's a cream, inexpensive and I have had the best results with that product.

I would imagine so because it has done wonders for the rest of my body (I wax my bikini area so I use ingrown pads for that.) I hope this helps! I am almost positive it would be effective at preventing ingrowns in that region :)

I haven't noticed a difference in skin bumps- Art of Shaving does have products designed to reduce bumps but I haven't used them. I have used the pre-shave oil which supposedly helps, although it also gums up my razor and makes it difficult to clean between strokes.

Oh most definately! my skin is not irritated, nor do I see the ingrown hairs like before. Also another treat is-I don't have to shave as often!

Yes! But, more importantly, their ingrown hair treatment is the best ever! I've used everything thing under the sun as I get ingrown hairs non-stop, this is literally the 1st thing I've used and it actually works. Additionally, it's creamy on the skin & absorbs quick, not an astringent that stings!

It lasts a long time- my husband has the tub and uses it once per week, has lasted over a year. I use the pump jar and 1 jar lasted me almost a yr with avg 2x/wk shaving.

You don't need much as this goes a long way. I shave my legs every two or three days and my bikini area once a week (before - every day), and I haven't even put a dent in the large jar.

Jar last a really long time as a little goes a long way. I bought the mens pump version 1st, the jar allows you to get every drop, my preference for sure now.

Since the Rose Absolute shaving cream has essential oils in it, as well as the super-vague "natural aroma", I'd be careful if you have allergies or sensitivities to anything like that. For some people, the oils themselves cause an allergic reaction; for others, any kind of fragrance (I'd say synthetic, but it says natural...) brings on the hives. If you can, try it on your skin in a Sephora store. If you're unsure, don't take the chance- the unscented version is cheaper, and the smell disappears once you're out of the shower. Better to be safe than red and itchy!

I sometimes have tricky reactions to certain products, but had no trouble with this product. I really can't emphasize how easy it is to shave with this cream.

Thats what it says, so that sounds like it is hypoallergenic, but i would watch the rose fragrance.

Question
Is this better than Khiel's shaverettes?
I'm looking for a better shaving cream for sensitive skin. I've been using Gillette sensitve for years, but find that it can sometimes be a little irritating and drying. I've read all the positive reviews about The Art of Shaving, but I also like the sound of the Khiel's one for women, except with that one you use before you shower. Anyone tried both? Thanks, Abi

Haven't tried Khiels but can say that this can irritate bikini zone. And I don't have sensitive skin.

I haven't used the Kiehl's, but I have super sensitive skin too (alllll kinds of dermatitis, excema, etc.) and I really like this stuff. I didn't really think it was doing anything too special until I switched back to my other brand (EOS, which is supposed to be so sensitive you can use out in or out of the shower) and this stuff was by far the winner. amazingly non-irritating.

Question
Does this product help with reducing previous ingrown hair?
I'm trying to get rid of my ingrown hair or "pimple-like" dots on my legs before summer comes. I was thinking of trying this product or coolfix.

I find that when I exfoliate well and use a good razor in conjunction with this shaving cream, I do have less ingrowns /red dot thingies than I do when I exfoliate well and use a good razor with another shaving cream. I also really like Edge shaving cream- it's a dudes shaving cream and the smell is definitely not as subtle, but it's made for a face, so it gets super super thick and helps me with ingrowns. Sorry if this is tmi, but based on my own personal hair texture, I like using this shaving cream on my legs, and the Edge shaving cream under my arms. Hope this helps!
