It should work for and razor cut - have use other alum products on my legs (I'm very accident prone) and works pretty well but be prepared for a little sting.

How does it work?
So do I need to still use another cleaning material like rubbing alchohol and then use a scar cream like triple antibiotic ointment after or does this product prevent scarring and infection as well?

You actually go through the effort of putting rubbing alcohol and then an ointment on your cuts?
are you shaving with a safety or cutthroat razor? if your shaving with a simple cartridge or disposable, you either are not cleaning your razor/keeping the same one for too long, or need to look up the correct method to shave.
I am not trying to be offensive, I am just saying that that is over kill and unneccessary. And you should not have knicks or cuts period, especially with modern tools.

But this product does prevent any infections, however your on your own for scars, but it should not be a problem. or else most men would have huge scars on their face. the face is fairly good at reproducing skin cells and colllagen.
