Questions & Answers for Jurlique Balancing Foaming Cleanser

Question
Is this cleanser safe to use around the eyes?
I see that one reviewer said that this cleanser removed her stubborn mascara; is this a non-stinging cleanser that is safe to use to remove eye makeup?
I have tried the Herbal Recovery Gel and found it great for my oily but sensitive skin.

It's not a supreme mascara remover. Especially for the waterproof brands. But, it seemed to be gentile enough to my eyes when applied 1-2 squirts to first: cheeks, chin, forehead THEN eyes. Washes away eyeshadow, foundation, brow wax, etc...left my face feeling CLEAN, soft, and primed for a mild moisturizer. Not overdrying at all. and I have a very tempermental skin type. Best Wishes!

I use the Jurlique Balancing Foaming Cleanser around my eyes to remove mascara and it works perfectly. It does sting a little BUT nothing horrible or super uncomfortable.

I use this on my eyes to take off my MAC cream eyeliner. Sometimes it doesn't want to come off, so I just rewash my eyes. That usually makes it come off. I haven't noticed any stinging. I also don't wear contacts...don't know if that would make a difference.

It is safe to use our cleansers around the delicate eye area. However, our Eye Makeup Remover has several very emollient ingredients that deposit additional moisture to the delicate eye area—Certified Organic Jojoba Oil which is rich in proteins, minerals and Vitamin E, and Sunflower Seed Oil, which is rich in essential fatty acids. For example, if you were to cleanse the back of one hand with one of our facial cleansers and on the other hand cleanse using Eye Makeup Remover you will feel a more hydrated and moisturized skin with the Eye Makeup Remover. This delicate eye area shows ageing first on the face and therefore additional moisture from a product created specifically for the eye area is a good thing! Therefore, Eye Makeup Remover is a better choice to remove eye makeup and impurities from the delicate skin around the eye area.

I LOVE the balancing! I haven't tried any others. I have sensitive acne prone skin and the way I see it is, if the balancing works this well for me-why try anything else? Best Wishes!

I would use the balancing cleanser, it will help reduce or even take away your acne, the replenishing cleanser is very milky, and can potenially be comedigenic.

Dear Insider Sister, I would first need to know a few things: your age, the climate in which you live, and the other types of products you use. I am almost forty, have dry and sensitive skin, but live in the south. In my case, my skin is not producing as many oils, but yet I live in a humid environment, so I use the balancing cleanser for the majority of the year. I can clean away dirt, makeup, and any natural and/or humidity-related oil build up from the day. During dry months, or even when visiting a dry climate, I would use the replenishing cleanser. Regardless of which type of cleanser, I always use a climate-appropriate moisturizer: spring/summer-lotion, fall/winter-cream. You need to put together your products so that they balance out. I recommend using the entire Jurlique line for the best results.

The Jurlique red formula (balancing) I had ALOT of luck with. I have nealy identical sypmtoms that you described. It works really well for me. Follow up with a mild moisturizer. I haven't tried any of the Jurlique, but Claudilie is nice and mild. Best Wishes!

I have some T-Zone shine, and the rest of my face is either normal or a little dry depending on the time of the year. I had the same question and went ahead and bought the Balancing Foaming Cleanser. I LOVE IT!! It cleanses without drying or leaving my face feeling greasy. My acne has mostly gone away, and I have less redness. Hope that helps. :D
