The Dramatically Different Moisturizer is wonderful, as well, but doesn't have the added spf that you should use. But, this is a good alternative.

Philosophy's Hope in a Jar SPF 25 costs a little less, for a slightly larger size. I think it's quite comparable to this in moisturizing. It does have fragrance.

In the summer, sometimes I use "Faces Only" sunscreen because it's handy in my "beach bag." Faces Only feels heavier but may have better coverage protection? I love the texture of Clinique's Superdefense and repurchased it after I ran out. There are so many products with fragrance and almost everything else is "out" for me because of that. *Including most of the give-away samples at Sephora. Tons of points but can't use them. Something to think about.. : )

I believe all of Clinique's products are noncomedogenic. My dermatologist recommended this when I was 14 years old (sensitive, acne-prone) and I've had excellent results for 30 years. Now my daughter uses Clinique and her skin is lovely. She was told to get off the Proactive by our dermatologist- wrong kind of active ingredient for her type of acne. Note there are differences.

Clinique is super weird about listing that and general ingredients on their site. I'm not sure if they use that actual word, but I did send it back as it made me break out.

Superdefense or Moisture Surge?

Either could be used. Superdefense is going to be more of an anti aging product than Moisure Surge is. But is you are dry and acne prone, chances are that the drier you get, the more you break out. So, if you are wanting to prevent aging, I would go with the Superdefense, if not, Moisture Surge. Plus, you can always use both or use Moisture Surge as a weekly treatment mask.

I don't think you have dry AND acne-prone skin. It's saying your skin needs sebum and has an excess of it. You most probably have dehydrated skin - a need for water. In this case I strongly suggest you Moisture Surge, because superdefense for dry skin is just going to make you break out even more. :-)

Well Superdefense is for aging skin and also has an SPF. Moisture Surge is a gel- like aloe moisturizer with no SPF. It depends on what you need.

Can I apply this with Moisture Surge?
I live in Iowa which is really really cold place during the winter~~
I was wondering if this Superdefense has water(hydration)ingredients for the winter??~

I'm just worried if I'm applying enough hydration on my skin for the winter~
Also for Superdefense....if I have oily on my T zone, and normal for rest of it, should I buy dry combination or oily one??

You can absolutely use your Moisture Surge under your Superdefense! That's what I do in the winter. Also, I would recommend the dry combo, my t-zone is oily in the summer, and I use that formula year round.

I used Superdefense on a daily basis for sun protection and general skin hydration. On the days when I felt I needed a little extra hydration boost I would apply Moisture Surge first then layer Superdefense on top of that. When layering facial products you should start with the most light weight product and then work up to the heavier products. Feel free to use other products in conjuction with Superdefense!

I don't know about using this in conjunction with other products, but as for winter and hydration you can't beat this, I live in Northern most Indiana and it's great, I have combination skin with oily t-zone and I bought the dry combination since my cheeks chin get really flakey and dry.

All About Eyes is good, too, and just for the eyes..not for the whole face area. And I believe it's in pink little jar. It's very rich and intensive since your eye area is the most sensitive and needs the most hydration. I would use both for extra protection against the sun and moisture.

No, this is NOT the same as Clinique ALL ABOUT EYES w/ SPF. This is a daily facial moisturizer with SPF that works to prevent your skin from becoming damaged by sun, environmental, and supposedly, emotional stress. I would not recommend using this over your eyes.

The package says to avoid the eye area, so it seems that this is not an eye product, while All About Eyes is targeted for the eye area. I wouldn't want to get the sunscreen in this cream in my eyes - ouch!

I would use this instead of your DD gel and a sunblock combo. This moisturizer will give your skin the moisture that it needs, plus antioxidants for anti aging PLUS sun protection! It's a 1, 2, 3, punch!!! Then you only have one day cream and don't have to worry about layering or forgetting a step.

Superdefense spf 25 age defense: Is this moisturizer for me?
HI, I live in Las Vegas, the sun is really intensive here and that's why I need a moisturizer with spf protection. I really like Clinique, and i am 25 years old and do not have wrinkles. I am just wondering if it is time for me to use this product and it is not gonna get my skin ued to antiwrincle products

It is not going to get your skin "used " to anti-wrinkle products, and anyway it's not an antiwrinkle product. It's "anti-aging" because, already just by having SPF, it protects your skin from the sun, the number one premature aging cause. Also , being rich in antioxidants, it will slow the aging process. So i think this product would be awesome for you. You can always change for the lighter version (gel) if you feel this product is too heavy considering you're in a very hot climate.

i would try something a little light with spf. this may be too graesy and heavy if you live in las vegas where its so hot. i would try peter thomas roth sheer spf or cosmedicine multitasking spf. i relate to trusting one brand but if you really want to try this i would start out with a sampl first.
