Question
Is one wipe enough to remove makeup?
Hello! I don't wear a lot of makeup, and if I do it's usually just foundation. I've tried brands that didn't do the job with just one wipe. How effective are these? Also, I would imagine that cleansing is still necessary after using the wipes, right? Thanks, and Happy Holidays!

I use these wipes to remove makeup before I work out. There is no need to wash your face afterwards. They do a great job of taking off makeup and they are a good size. They don't leave any kind of sticky feeling or residue. My skin feels clean and comfortable after using these wipes.

I use one wipe to take off my sheer foundation, sheer blush, mascara, and waterproof eyeliner. It's enough, although, by the end I do feel like I'm sort of running out of surface to clean my face. If you wear a lot of makeup and/or thicker foundation, then you might need more than one.

Hi,

I just use one wipe, but I don't have any heavy foundation (or any foundation, for that matter), to remove. I do have a decent amount of eye makeup and sometimes a tinted moisturizer or blush. Generally, on wipe gets it all. I still use a cleanser after that, though.

Hope this helps.

I really had to scrub at my (non-waterproof) eye makeup to get it off with these wipes. Plus it irritated my skin. If you have a hard time gently removing your eyeliner, I would personally use one of the all-over cleansing oils (like Laura Mercier's Light Oil Cleanser or Lancome's Oil Cleanser) first, then wash with your normal cleanser. I use a similar dry oil cleanser by DHC that I LOVE!!!

I have similar skin and found these wipes were great left my skin feeling great. There was no tightness at all in my cheek area. I didn't even feel like there was any film still on my face like I've had with other products. All the good stuff in the wipes (aloe vera, chamomile, cucumber, vit E) just absorbs into your face to leave it feeling smooth and comfortable. Not tight and dry.

I've tried both. The Maran wipes are much softer, and they do not cause any tingling sensation. They remove makeup very well, but I still need a separate eye makeup remover. The Philosophy wipes are just a bit rougher, and they cause just a very short tingle on my skin. However, they are better at removing makeup. Also, Maran wipes are much more expensive.
