This product should be followed by a moisturizer. If this combination feels too heavy, try using an oil-free moisturizer.

Serums are meant to be used before a moisturizer. You always have to apply a moisturizer on top of the serum. Serums are meant to lock in moisture and fight aging skin. Moisturizers contain SPF, and serums do not. If anything, you can skip the serum, and use only a moisturizer, since a lot of moisturizers now contain ingredients found in the serums.

I use moisturizer with it, anyway - this is meant to be a skin care serum. It's a wonderful product, but I don't think it should replace a moisturizer.

I have dry skin and after applying this and letting it dry, I can feel it -kind of like a film on my face. It feels tight. Personally, I need to use a moisteriser on top to make my skin feel smooth and balanced. I suppose if you're already oily that it might not make a huge difference, but it is made to go under a moisteriser.

For this definitely use it with a moisturizer! As I said in my previous post, it's a serum, not a moisturizer. I love Perricone MD, but Peter Thmas Roth also makes some fine moisturizers (Unwrinkle is to die for).

Depends on how dry your skin is...they do suggest it; I do use one on top but I was looking for products to really boost my skin's elasticity and feel. If you have oily skin, you may not need it.

Yes, you can use this product with a moisturizer on top. The serum will deliver added nutrients to the deeper layers of the skin; the layers that a normal moisturizer cannot reach. Serums are meant to work beneath the skin and deposit nutrients, and moisturizers are meant to hydrate the skin.

Yes, you should always apply a moisturizer on afterwards. Serums are added protection for the skin. If anything, you can skip a serum, and use only a moisturizer. Some people don't see any difference with using a serum while others find it helps lock in moisture and fight wrinkles. Serums are lightweight, non-greasy, and never contain SPF, which a moisturizer does and you should always use an SPF even in the winter.

I only apply a moisturizer during the day on top of VIZ. At night, I just wear this product alone. I dont feel I need the use of any other product at night. VIZ, at night, hydrates the skin from the moisture in the air and therefore leaving the skin supple, smooth and well hydrated. You will love how your skin looks in the morning.

answer 7
Yes, while serums can give you added moisture, the main reason you'd want to use a serum is to get added nutrients into deeper layers of your skin that a regular moisturizer is not able to reach. A moisturizer has larger molecules than a serum. This means that a moisturizer will not penetrate the skin as far as a serum will. While serums deposit nutrients, moisturizers are meant to deposit moisture and hydration your skin.

the retinol pm has done wonders for my pores. i bought the Age Defense Kit (bc i didn't want to drop a load of $ on something that wouldn't work- but happily i LOVED it!). it's said to also use the Unwrinkle pads 20%@ 2-3x's a week (which slough off extra debris on skin and cleanse) you want clean pores so they don't stretch out and sag with all the gunk), the cleansers have glycolic acid as well which help tighten and cleanse the skin, i would do a peel the 40% pads once a month and definitely do the resurfacer with chemicals and enzymes (ie the PTR laser free resurfacer). I just bought that and the eye creme and the pm unwrinkle creme and this viz-1000...so i am waiting a bit to get the glycolic pads and peel pads. to have my skin adjust slowly to the products. this is a way of life to cleanse and take care of your face, this is long term and preventative skin care for face. results are not always seen over night you see your skin getting better and better. I did however see tremendous results within days when i bought the Age Defense Kit, i am not one to fall for hype and know that most beauty products can say whatever they want, but this line i found has worked for me so far. my package comes literally tomorrow (better not be held up! so anxious for it) and i will know how these other product work on my skin. i also take pics bc i don't want to lie to myself lol bc the products are not cheap, if they work i will buy, and so far thumbs up! this hyaluronic acid is a great humectant (per a dr. oz blog) and helps to plump the skin. so it makes sense it would help with the pores but like i said i am waiting on it and will try to post if i remember.

I live in two different countries with various climates. I have sensitive skin and have dealt with malignant melanoma before my 30's. Since this I have been a freak with regards to skin products and keeping my skin healthy and young.
This product has helped with plumping and making me think my fine lines are less visible. In summer (humid environments) I would suggest using this product with a tinted mineral powder based sunblock and some concealer for a natural look. It should prevent against over moisturizing your skin that sometimes causes little pimples.

Well, I'm not in that stage of life yet, but I can tell you that anything with as high of a concentration of Retinol as possible is excellent for pore size. You can't actually shrink your pores for good, they are the size they are. But you can reduce them through treatment (but sadly treatment must be ongoing). It's really important though that you don't use Retin-a because science hasn't proven that Retin-a can do anything for skin.

Some great over the counter Retinol products that I love are: Peter Thomas Roth: Retinol Fusion PM. Philosophy: Booster Caps Retinol Capsules which are designed to be mixed in with your moisturizer at night, perfect if you have sensitive skin or are prone to overusing a product and Philosophy: Help Me.

Retinol works in lots of ways but mainly it helps to build collegen in your skin which in turn reduces your pores. it's also great for minimal scarring and residual acne (as well as fine lines and wrinkles!). I LOVE all of these products. But as always, read the label and use correctly.

It is not meant for lips. It doesn't actually 'plump' up the skin. The Hyaluronic Acid helps to hydrate skin, but doesn't add volume. It merely helps hydrate skin that gets wrinkles caused from water loss.

Why is it balling up as soon as I apply my moisturizer?
I just purchased this product and love it (almost). Unfortunately as soon as I apply my moisturizer after it, the serum balls up and flakes off my face. I use a an all natural, organic jojoba oil moisturizer. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can prevent it? I would buy the 100% pure version (on the internet, look it up by name). It is $89.00. Then I would wet down your face or body, and apply. Let that dry for a while. Then add your cream or oil. May have glycerin as an ingredient. No need to pay so much for Hyaluronic Acid which is gods gift for dry skin. I go thru 16 oz in one year, and use it all over my body. The only thing that helps my skin stay hydrated

The one you have uses Glycoric Acid. This uses Hyaluronic Acid. This product is meant more for dry skin, but if you need help with wrinkles and or aging skin, the one you're using is probably best. If you have access to a Sephora store, get a sample of this and try for a week to see which one your skin responds to better.

I too have been using the Moisturizer but they are different kettles of fish. The Glycolic 10% "eats away the ugly" as I like to put it. The Hyaluronic is just to plump your skin up--sort of like a hotdog in a microwave.

One of the differences between Glycolic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid is that Glycolic Acid works more like exfoliator (removes dead cells from the surface of your skin so it not only looks better, but can better and faster absorb skin care products) and Hyaluronic Acid adds TONS of moisture to your skin and locks it there.
So, if your skin is very sensitive you should be careful using Glycolic Acid.

Not certain what the difference is, but I have used a hyaluronic serum for over a year now, and I can't go a day without it. It is light, but keeps my skin moisturized all day, without any problem breakouts. I am unable to get the serum I started with any more, so I searched the Sephora site and found this one. I am just as pleased with the VIZ-1000 as with the other one. And this one is easier for me to get!!!!
