I also was plagued with enlarged pores (age 63), breakouts, etc, especially during winter time. 2 years ago, I started using PTR pure squalene oil as an additional layer of moisture under my regular moisturizer and after 6 months or so I noticed my pores were much smaller and haven't had a breakout for many months. The oil is a bit heavy for summer, so I started using the viz-1000 and love it. Hope this might help you.

Not sure if this will post, but I recently (just a few days ago) found something that is doing wonders for my pores. It is Kiehl's Micro Blur Skin Perfector. This is the first thing I've found that I'm noticing immediate changes. BTW, I am 40.

the retinol pm has done wonders for my pores. i bought the Age Defense Kit (bc i didn't want to drop a load of $ on something that wouldn't work- but happily i LOVED it!). it's said to also use the Unwrinkle pads 20%@ 2-3x's a week (which slough off extra debris on skin and cleanse) you want clean pores so they don't stretch out and sag with all the gunk), the cleansers have glycolic acid as well which help tighten and cleanse the skin, i would do a peel the 40% pads once a month and definitely do the resurfacer with chemicals and enzymes (ie the PTR laser free resurfacer). I just bought that and the eye creme and the pm unwrinkle creme and this viz-1000...so i am waiting a bit to get the glycolic pads and peel pads. to have my skin adjust slowly to the products. this is a way of life to cleanse and take care of your face, this is long term and preventative skin care for face. results are not always seen over night you see your skin getting better and better. I did however see tremendous results within days when i bought the Age Defense Kit, i am not one to fall for hype and know that most beauty products can say whatever they want, but this line i found has worked for me so far. my package comes literally tomorrow (better not be held up! so anxious for it) and i will know how these other product work on my skin. i also take pics bc i don't want to lie to myself lol bc the products are not cheap, if they work i will buy, and so far thumbs up! this hyaluronic acid is a great humectant (per a dr. oz blog) and helps to plump the skin. so it makes sense it would help with the pores but like i said i am waiting on it and will try to post if i remember.

I live in two different countries with various climates. I have sensitive skin and have dealt with malignant melanoma before my 30's. Since this I have been a freak with regards to skin products and keeping my skin healthy and young.
This product has helped with plumping and making me think my fine lines are less visible. In summer (humid environments) I would suggest using this product with a tinted mineral powder based sunblock and some concealer for a natural look. It should prevent against over moisturizing your skin that sometimes causes little pimples.

This product is not meant to help with pores, but to hep with hydrating the skin. However, it won't clog the pores.

I use Dr. Brandt Pores No More Skin Cleanser. It is incredibly effective at minimizing the size of your pores. It leaves your skin with a matte finish without a taunt feel to you skin. I bought Perricone MD Intensive Pore Minimizer before Dr. Brandt's and it smelled like fish and left your skin all shiny and oily.

I've noticed my pores getting larger as I age (47) and was also looking for a product to help with this problem. I started using Perricone's Advanced Face Firming Activator once a day and have seen a big difference in three weeks. It does not irritate my sensitive skin either.

Well, I'm not in that stage of life yet, but I can tell you that anything with as high of a concentration of Retinol as possible is excellent for pore size. You can't actually shrink your pores for good, they are the size they are. But you can reduce them through treatment (but sadly treatment must be ongoing). It's really important though that you don't use Retin-a because science hasn't proven that Retin-a can do anything for skin.
Some great over the counter Retinol products that I love are: Peter Thomas Roth: Retinol Fusion PM. Philosophy: Booster Caps Retinol Capsules which are designed to be mixed in with your moisturizer at night, perfect if you have sensitive skin or are prone to overusing a product and Philosophy: Help Me.
Retinol works in lots of ways but mainly it helps to build collegen in your skin which in turn reduces your pores. it's also great for minimal scarring and residual acne (as well as fine lines and wrinkles!). I LOVE all of these products. But as always, read the label and use correctly.
