I have used it with shades of bronze and peach, and light and dark grey with amazing results. On my skin I have had to stay away from plum and amethyst with it because it looks a little overwhelming - I think it's the red undertones.

It would look good with both of those colours. I don't think that the purple colour is strong enough to conflict with eyeshadows and liners, and I wear it without much worry. I do reccomend wearing it with warm pinks, purples, and even browns. It looks GREAT with shimmery gold eyeshadow!

Hope I helped!

I use the Buxom eyeliner in Amethyst and it looks really nice. Never used the Stila eyeliners but I find that since the Buxom eyeliner is a little bit brighter than the mascara, it makes the eyelashes look very natural even though they are purple! It's not a perfect match, but it definitely looks nice.

I wear Kitten with everything, so yes, Kitten will work with this mascara. I also recommend a brown eye shadow, such as Lounge by Urban Decay (it has reddish/greenish shimmer which looks awesome with green eyes). I would avoid purple shadow because it may make the plum look too plummy - I would aim for neutral colors to help the plum mascara stand out.

Depends on your skin tone and hair color. It looks better with darker hair. My blond friend had it on and I could NOT tell any difference whatsoever, but my brunette friend's eyes just seemed to 'pop'. It's not a huge difference, esp. if your lashes are dark, but it just gives your eyes 'a little something extra' if you know what I mean :)

This will be a great mascara for you. It is a nice rich and deep purple color that looks extremely natural. In fact, I find that it does not even look purple when you put it on, but it certainly gives the eyes a pop and you can tell something is different than just a plain old black mascara. If you want, use a deep purple eyeliner for the full effect that will still look natural, but bring out your eyes even more.

I think you and I might have similar colored eyes. I too was afraid of "obvious purple" but it really is a true plum. I liked how it made my eyes look and to my knowledge no one knew but me that I was wearing "purple". When I applied it, it just made things look better, not competed with my eye color.

I have deep brown eyes (almost like a dark chocolate brownie), and I find that the BADgal Blue mascara looks well with my eye color. I do have the Plum but it doesn't work for me. I already have long eyelashes and the Plum definitely lengthens them, so that might be a reason why it doesn't necessarily work for me. I also find that when the Plum smears, you get magenta-colored marks under your eyes, which I don't like. The Blue works better for me, and it's supposed to do the same thing as the Plum. Hope this helps!

Good for a redhead?
I am a redhead and very very pale, so I don't like to wear black mascara since it looks so dark on me. I usually wear brown mascara, but I thought that this may look a little more natural with my haircolor? (Josie Maran made the perfect "auburn" brown shade of mascara but it's been discontinued.) I'm am a fair-skinned ginger so I understand. I never use brown but I liked the idea of the plum - mainly from my sister's recommendations. She is also fair skinned, but has a more plum hair color. I like it, but I'm not sure what you are looking for. It softens the look, but it does almost give the sense that you are wearing eyeshadow lining your eyes because the reflecting red pigment kind of blends with your lids from a distance - if that makes sense. I'm not sure if you wear eyeshadow, but I don't normally, so I noticed it. It is definitely less dramatic than black.

I have very fair skin and auburn hair and this mascara is great. It's not overwhelming like black mascara is, and it's a little more fun than brown. It has great definition and volumizing properties and seems to be complimentary to all eye colors. If you're near a Sephora store, I would ask to try it out. One thing that really convinced me was to try it on one eye, with your regular mascara on the other to really see the difference.

I have found that the plum is a really fabulous and versatile upgrade (or replacement!) for a brown mascara. I have medium-brown hair, am very fair, and have green eyes and the plum does wonders. If you're worried about the plum being too out-there or bright, it's really VERY subtle and natural looking!! My best friend who has blonde hair, fair skin, and brown eyes also loves it. It seems to work with many different hair colors and I don't think it would clash with your red hair at all!

Mine are black and my hair is very dark brown. When I wear it, I wear it OVER my regular mascara on top, but alone on the bottom lashes. It is NOT noticeably different (like, you don't notice that it's purple) -- it's pretty subtle. I just think it gives your eyes a little something extra so to speak. That said, I'm pretty upset that I spent so much money on this product, so next time I'll buy a cheapie from the drugstore.

I don't think that unless your lashes are blond you are going to notice a huge difference. A light brown color? you'll notice it a little. I have black lashes and wear it over top of blackest black on top and alone on bottom. Just makes my eyes seem brighter - give my regular neutral shadowy eyes a little something extra. It's spendy mascara so you may want to try it first if you can OR buy a drugstore purple first to see if you like it! good luck

My eyelashes and eye color are similar to the colors you described. When you apply the mascara, you can't tell its purple. the color is a deep, subtle plum, so its not a bright purple. i think the only time you can tell its purple is when the sun is hitting your face because that's how my bf noticed it wasn't black. but even then, he complimented them saying it made the green look brighter! it's a good product to use to make your eyes pop out without using eyeliner or eyeshadow.

Question
Good for blue eyes?
I'm thinking about going out on a limb here and trying this out because I heard that plum-colored mascara makes your eyes look brighter and more awake.
But I'm a little worried that this is going to look really weird on me, or that it just won't show up at all. My eyelashes are naturally dark, and I have blue/green/grey eyes.
Would you recommend this product for me? Will the color show up or look goofy? And how does it hold up to regular mascaras as far as quality and value (I don't wear a lot of makeup but I do use Loreal's Voluminous Waterproof mascara right now)? I'm hoping this mascara will actually make my eyes pop while adding some volume (no clumps?)... I don't care much about lengthening because my lashes are pretty healthy and lengthy naturally, but a little fullness is always nice.
Thanks!

You are right, wearing plum colors around your eyes intensifies your eye color and will really make the blue and green colors pop! Yes, the plum is great. When the light hits your lashes it will bring out any gold flecks in your eyes, it is really pretty. If you are looking for something that will really stand out, I would try the Bad Gal Blue!
