I bought a spatula from MUFE, and would scoop out some colors to put on the back of my palms and then use a thin eyeliner / shadow brush or finger tips to apply the color to my face.
By scooping the color out, it prevents bacteria from contaminating the whole thing... cause this palette will last you a while.

If you're doing fine-detailed work, for face painting, or otherwise, then use a small eye-lining brush. If you need to cover more space, then use a flat shading eyeshadow brush. This will help you to apply the colors more evenly and smoothly. If you're doing your whole face, or more than 1/4 of your face one particular color, I'd recommend using a beauty sponge. (The Sephora brand one is really good!)...Just don't forget to wipe your brushes in between colors to prevent contamination! (You can use a make-up removal wipe or a paper towel and olive oil to remove the grease paint) =)

Brushes made for cream applications work best. Such as eyeliner, lip, complexion brushes. Look for a brush with synthetic bristles that are tight, compact and smooth. Which brush you choose will depend on what look you are trying to achieve. An eyeliner brush will create a thin, clean line, whereas a concealer or foundation brush will apply a lot more product for covering a bigger surface area.

From a person who actually works for MUFE...Don't use a primer! Put on a layer of the cream, then pack it with a good eye-shadow/ powder. I know instinct says use a primer, but I have tried both ways and not using a primer definitely works!

yes! But the UD primer will not work...you need to put a drop of MUFE Eye Seal underneath and lightly dust HD powder on top...it will not crease and it will stay shiny :)

of course! all you need is some urban decay primer potion (for underneath) and/or powder to set it, either make up for ever HD powder or bare escentuals mineral veil will do the trick!

No its not discontinued. I just bought one at the MUFE store in South Coast Plaza. but it was the last one there. So im not sure if they plan on phasing it out of their stores.??

The ladies at my local Sephora said they haven't been getting any new MUFE palettes and thought Sephora wasn't going to be carrying them any longer. Is this the case or will there be more coming in stock? if so, when?

Does this palette "go bad" or expire?

I am just wondering if this palette has an expiration date. It is very expensive, but everyone says it is worth it because you'll have it forever. We all know nobody has makeup forever, it has to expire sometime. So when does the product expire? That is the only issue holding me back from purchasing this.

Sadly, this is a petroleum based product, but the good news is that will help keep it from going bad quickly. But.... try to use clean tools or fingers or spatulas and that will help keep bacteria count low as well. Best advice:use it, use it, use it

After six months my palette, which had been opened several times but not used regularly (because it is awful) showed signs of drying, and the yellow, green, light blue and peach colors had cracked around the edges and into the center of the pans. There was also a plasticky smell noticeable at the six-month point.

It defnitely depends on how much use you think you will get out of them, if you like bright colors then go for it. some colors are great for cheeks and lips too! i love these, so for me i would have probably bought them all seperately (for 12 that would be over $200) but now i can get them all in one case!

the squares are alittle more that 1" by 1". they are bigger than i expected them to be, even big enought to use your fingers to apply the colors which i wasnt expecting either!

Absolutely! You can make concealer, foundation, anything. Just add white to any of them and it will turn it into a pastelle colour :)
