Questions & Answers for Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pen - Long Wearing Brow Tint
Question
"Brow Pen" vs. "Brow Wiz"??? (to replace my beloved "Go Brow")
Anastasia's "Go Brow Universal Pencil" was the first & only brow color that has ever looked "natural" on me. Can't find it anymore, so I need something comparable that doesn't look "fake" on me.
1) Which product looks more natural? ("Brow Pen" or "Brow Wiz") 2) What color would you recommend?
Eyebrows: Dark Brown Skintone: Fair-to-Light Hair color: Auburn Eye color: Blue
Thanks for your suggestions! :)

I think medium ash in brow wiz!! If you don't wear lots of foundation u can try the pen but it dries fast & slips on a sweaty face. Luv the wiz pencil & blends sooo natural I can't live without it. I also use my finger to smudge but u can also add powder to set it & then reapply a bit more on top.

Brow pencil! It's amazing .... It looks so natural..I just fill in my brows and I get a lot of compliments about them! The other product I bought on accident....poor and a waste of $21.00 ... I'm so disappointed in it...makes your brows trashy and not natural at all!

Because this is a tint (fairly light) so you can darken the color by re-apply over and over to fit your color of your face.

I have basically the same stats as you and I prefer the medium color brow pen. I tried the whiz in the store, but the pen is so much faster and easier!

I do not know what a level 3 is, but I have black brows and this color looks light brown next to my brows. I would not recommend it to anyone with black or very dark brown brows. It is too light a shade and stands out in a weird way.

Nope, I have really dark brown hair; it's almost black and I'd never wear a black eyebrow anything. Your eyebrows don't need to match the hair on your head. In many people, their eyebrows are lighter and that's the way it should be for their faces. This dark brown is lighter than the hair on my head and that's good. Black is too intense for eyebrows no matter how dark your hair is.

Definitley. You just need a heavier hand when applying. I think you will like this product. Before I purchased it it thought is might look too unnatural, but it looks great.

In a word...no. It is too light. Especially if you want to go dark. If you already have dense brows and need to shade in here or there, it looks ok. If you have areas that you really need to draw in, it will be way too light.

nope - but it IS re-buyable! I find that mine lasts longer when I apply it before using moisurizure or foundation -- if I us it after other products, the tip wears out quicker, and the color is harder to apply

Unfortunately, this item is not refillable. Once the brow tint has emptied, a new pen will need to be purchased.

i dont think so, but if you get the light shade and apply it as lightly as possible to give it just a hint of shade/shape, then i think it should still match

All of the above is true but the "using it as a base"...because it works solely has the color for the brow. Color on top would by too dark. I dont consider it a tint because it washes too easy...a tint to me is something that lingers after soap. Also, not a universal color. It starts red/brown then goes to dark brown the more applications you put on. Blondes, light browns, ash browns, and black hair colors would not use this pen.

This was advertised as a universal color & that's why I decided to make the purchase. It is however, too dark for anything remotely lighter than med. brown hair/brows.

I first tried Anastasia products at a Brow Bar at Nordstroms, where my eyebrows were cleaned up and Anastasia brow wax and powder were applied. My hair is blonde and my eyebrows are darker, with a lot of blonde ones in between. This, and some patchy areas left them looking sparse. The wax/powder was great, especially using the brush for precise beginning and endings to the brows. However, I honestly like this brow pen better. It seems a tad lighter, and infills fine. I think it looks more natural. I like the wax/powder for a more dramatic look.

Switch to a more natural looking powder. Anastasia makes one, or use Mac with the proper brush. I'm a redhead, and cannot use the pen because the color is harsh, and too red. I'm back to brow powder, and it looks much better.

The product packaging changed to black. The brow pen comes in two colors: universal light & universal deep. Just specify which color when you go to add the item to your cart. If you are fair to medium skin tone I'd go with light because it can appear darker than the online swatch. If you're darker with dark hair you might want the deep.
