No, the color should not change once it has set in your brows. It also dries quickly and provides a smooth application.

I've had mine for 2 weeks now and it's already dry. It was great the first 2-3 times I used it but barely any comes out now. I always put the cap right back on after use and store it with the cap pointing down to help the liquid flow to the top but I don't think this helps much. There's no way to get more tint out w/out pressing really hard.

I found that you must return the cap right after using. In addition, store the pen with the cap end down so that the tip stays moist. That works for me. I love this product.

answer 6
it will dry out - especially if you store it with the top end up. you should store it at least laying down, but standing up with the top end down would be best if you can. after a while you'll find that you'll need to shake it down to get the color to come out - almost like a paint pen (which is basically what it is).

as far as how long it will last, i'm not sure. i was incredibly unhappy with this product and didn't use it long enough to give a good answer on that one. sorry!

No, its not sweat-proof. It has good staying power, but sweat is the one thing that will take it off. I put a little bit of SheLaq (a makeup sealer by Benefit) over my brows when I'm done, and that helps keep the pen color from running even when I sweat. I recommend it. You can get it at Sephora too!

Question
Is there a shade for redheads?
I currently use a bronzy eyeliner (in a product line that caters to black women!) because I can't find an auburn pencil that doesn't go on dark brown. My skintone is very, very fair and my brows are going grey, which makes it look like I don't have eyebrows, though they are fairly thick. I need something that will define my brows but still has a reddish tint.

The universal deep shade might actually be perfect for you. The only problem I have with it is that my brow are decidedly nearly black (even though my hair is dark auburn) and the deep shade has a decidedly auburn tint. I really think it's probably worth a try for you, and if you don't like it you can always bring it back, but i think it should be great. It's really a great product.

Nope! This is the comment I just posted about Anastasia's brow products:

I've noticed that all of Anastasia's brow enhancers, whether they be pencil, gel or wax only comes in a limited amount of colors. Yes, you may have 3 or 4 to choose from, but what about the people who need dark brown or those that need black? If you are one of those people, this product won't work for you!

Question
Is this product like your brow-filler?
Your brow-filler came in a value set, I believe. It had two ends, one for blonds, the other for darker brows. It had sponge tips, such as the ones found on eyeshadow brushes. It was sort of a liquid, yet powdery at the same time. For someone like myself, who has extremely sparse brows, it was a dream come true. It was like using a thick felt pen/sponge to draw and fill in my brows. I miss it so much. Best product I have EVER used!!!

Yes, it's like a brow filler but without any powder. It's basically a sheer magic marker. This is actually better than the powdery fillers because the teeny-tiny tip allows you to draw feathery strokes that truly mimic lashes. And it's sheer enough that it doesn't look dramatic. It *could* if you layer it, but a few strokes and it's amazing how well this fills your brow.

This one is actually a marker with a fine felt tip, and buildable color. The more you go over the lines you've drawn, the darker they'll become, which is what allows users to customize it, and for women with varying haircolors to use it. There is no sponge tip at the end, because this marker is so fast drying that a sponge tip might not do anything to it once you have applied it. A spoolie brush will soften the effect a bit, though.

Question
Can and will you ever make this product more waterproof and longer lasting?
I havent any brows to speak of and my eyes are noticably shaped different so it's hard to get them looking even so the longer they last the easier it is for me to keep the shape correct, my hands shake so it's difficult enough to do what must be done even with the stencels . Thanks to a friend at work I was introduced to Sephora's products and I do love it, Just want more staying power. I hope something can be done.
Thank You

I know this might not be the answer you are looking for, but there is a really great powder pencil out there with great staying power, but unfortunately it isn't from the Anastasia line. It is from IT which is Innovative Technology. http://www.itcosmetics.com/ The brow pencil is a universal shade which actually helps grow brows. For every pencil purchased, one is donated to the American Cancer Society.

I absolutely love all of Anastasia's products, but my main complaint is that the brown tint pen smudges on me when I sweat or when it rains. I would like the staying power to be up to par. The tip of the Anastasia's brown pen gets worn out over time too.

When I need a durable look for my brows, I turn to IT's universal brow powder eye pencil.

Try putting a makeup sealer over your brows when you are done filling them in...such as SheLaq by Benefit. This is a clear liquid with a brush attached to the inside of the bottle cap, and it comes with a set of mini-brushes. It only takes a little of this stuff to increase the staying-power of your brow color. I really hope that this suggestion helps...I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time doing your brows! :(

Don't know about full waterproof, but use this on clean dry skin (no creams). I put on brows (mine are almost gone, too) before moisturizer. Combining this pen with a brow powder or the thin-line pencil might make it last better. Keep your hands off your brows or you will rub them off.

Question
brow pen versus brow pencil
I have dark brown hair. My brows are thin and I have a bold spot in them. Currently I use Anastasia's brow powder in brunette to give them definition and it works pretty well. If I am interested in trying to recreate individual brow hairs in my bold spot which would do this better, the brow pen or the brow pencil? What is the difference between them?

If you just need to fill in little spots here & there, i'd recommend the pen. Anything beyond that, such as shaping/ tinting, use the pencil. The pen becomes too dark and overwhelming if used for anything more than filling in sparingly and loses the natural look really quick.

since i am a big fan of the pen, i of course suggest the pen, 1 does not require sharpening and the point is thin enough and it's more controllable in my opinion, i have tried the powder and i like it too, i have used the pencil but not for long, i immediately switch back to the powder then later got the pen as soon as the light shade became available.

It depends on what effect you want. A pencil will give you a softer look, and the pen will give you a more defined look. I'd say its easier to create the look of individual hairs with the pen, because of the fine felt tip. One thing, though...unless you have a reddish tinge to your hair, you may want to go over your lines twice with the pen, because the color is a bit red. I'm not sure if that's a deal-breaker for you or not. I suggest going into a Sephora store with no makeup on your brows, and try it out. Make sure to go outside into the sun, and look in a mirror so you can see what it looks like in "true" light.

I actually use both the Perfect Brow Pencil and the Brow Pen, I use the Brown Pen to fill in the brow because I also have sparse brows and areas with missing hair. For me using the pencil to fill in the brows makes the hairs fall out more, so i just the pencil to define the brow shape.

I wouldn't use either for your situation... Unfortunately this brand doesn't have the right colors for very dark haired girls with dark brows. I think they're better for medium brown hair and lighter... I like using a nice brush along with Makeup Forever Eyeliner in brown. For me, that works well and it's the right color for dark hair. You're going to want to whole brow to look uniform so I'd go with a darker, thick formula. Hope that helps! :-)

This definitely deposits plenty of color, much more than pencils. It's almost like a magic marker. It's a great concept, but it didn't work for me because even the lightest shade was too dark for my fair skin and hair. I would definitely buy it again if it came in a lighter shade. You may want to try a brow powder if you need something that deposits more color than a pencil. The Anastasia brow powder kits work well.

I've used the clinique superfine in burgundy when I occasionally tint my hair the same color. That pencil's great for filling but not for shaping. I've managed to fill in small gaps and smooth/blend the product. It sounds like you need require a little more color so i'd recommend a different clinique pencil. It's creamy like the retractable one and comes with a eyebrow brush to blend on the opposite end of the pencil. It's hard to over do it with this pencil & it gives a natural look with much more ease than any product I've tried. It's a normal pencil that does require sharpening.
