I used two coats for my wedding and it worked beautifully.

I noticed that many of the 'OPI for Sephora colors' streak, not just this one. The best thing to try is to make sure nails are clean and dry, then roll the bottle in your hands, don't shake. Shaking causes bubbles to form which can aid with streaking. Apply 1 coat and let it completely dry before applying another coat. If you still have streaking you might not be applying enough or too much color at once.

You have to put a REALLY thin layer of this polish, when I mean thin, I mean THIN. Swipe almost all the polish off the brush before applying the polish to the nail. It will at first look streaky, but as the polish blends together and dries, it's not streaky at all.

Try using OPI Hydrator as a base coat followed by one coat of the Brightener for a really clean look and no steaks (at least not on my nails).

I put one thin coat, let it dry, then another light coat on top. Too few coats does make it look streaky, you're right, but too many make it look too thick and plastic-ish.

I did about 3 on my toes so the color stands out but just 2 on my hands.

I put 2 coats and a clear on top for extra shine. It looks nice!

I find the trick is to only use one coat, but put it on thick enough that it doesn't streak too bad. It makes it a pain for drying, but two coats doesn't look right-- too pink.

This isn't a anti-yellowing polish at all. It's more of a pearly white matte finish. It streaks so be aware of that. If you want an anti-yellowing polish use "Yellow Out." You can get it at a beauty supply store like Sally's. Also to note that the Yellow Out is just another bandaid to to take the yellow out. If you want to take the yellow out of your nails then you need to use a fine grit block & buff it out. Often yellowing is caused form redish colored nail polish & the use of nail polish remover & acetone.

This does not eliminate them, it really only helps to decrease the yellow color of the nails when you wear it. If you have yellow nails, you need to file the tops of the after you remove your nail polish. Then you should apply white vinegar. This actually helps to naturally whiten the nails. It smells, but let the nails air dry overnight without nail polish. If the nails don't whiten over time, you most likely have a nail fungus which requires oral medication because the yellowness is coming from the cells in the nails, not the top coat.

I personally think in the long run it can take the yellow out, but this all depends on your nails, since everyone is different. I wear a lot (if not all) dark polish and all of 2009 I had a different color of polish on my nails so when I took off my polishes they were REALLY yellow. I painted the most thin layer of this polish on for 2 days, took it off, and re-painted again to keep a "fresh" look. This also lets me see the progress of how bright my nails are getting. You can't tell right away it's getting brighter, but after a few times, you see it bit by bit.

It is more of a polish, but it doesn't feel as heavy as other polishes which are rich with pigmentation. I didn't have any noticeable yellowing of my nails before using it, but I did notice a difference in the overall appearance of my nail after wearing this product a few times. My nails do look healthier. I'm not sure how it does it but I know my other polishes don't do this.

Just a cover up! It is a weak white polish, kinda like a band aid. It doesn't get rid of yellow stains.

I don't have yellow stains but I would guess that if your yellow stains are not too dark this polish will be fine. I would use two coats. Good luck

I don't know the ingredients, but I will answer your 2 other questions. Yes, you can wear this brightener by itself. No, do NOT use this as a top coat! The texture is very thin and liquid(y)....it's not not sticky and thick like a top coat, or like nail polish.

This product is a slight pearly consistency with a sheer whitish color. There are no ingredients on the bottle at all. It streaks really bad & I have no ridges in my nails for it to streak??? Also it has a matte finish, so if you want something with a shine then you're going to have to add a top coat. You wouldn't want to use this as a top coat since it has a matte finish & it's a white/pearl color, it says to use this as a base coat on clean bare nails.

It's more like a light polish. I used it over the hydrator and my nails felt and looked good. I was at a convention in Las Vegas and it was really hot/dry weather. Would not look good over another polish

I use it alone and it makes my nails look like they were done in a salon.

I don't know what the ingrediants are but I use this w/ no base/top coat and it lasts for days!
