I am fair skinned with blonde hair and I adore all three compacts which I own...My favorite is the lightest because for my skin it offers the most luminous glow. I like the beige color second because it offers a nice tannish hint for a faux glow...I use all three. You can't go wrong...amazing product!!!

I would get #2 (Rose) because that is suited for most skin tones. #1 is for very fair skin tones, and #3 is for darker, more tan skin tones.

I would go with the medium shade - You don't want to look washed out. I bought it at a Sephora store so I was able to test it. I got the one with the purple center and it is fine for me. I have reddish brown hair and fair/light skin.

Question
Pressed vs. loose meteorites
How much different is the pressed powder, then the loose pearls? I have the loose pearls already. Is the pressed one more 'colorful' on the skin?

I have both versions. The pressed version on first usage is quite sparkly but after that initial time the finish is semi-matte with a very light glow to the skin. It also unifies the skin tone and leaves a soft finish. I think the ball version is a bit more shimmery and has more of a luminating effect.

I bought both. I think the pressed powder has more of a shimmer than the loose version, which I think is more subtle. I didn't notice it being any more "colorful" than the loose version.

Question
Which powder for which skin tone?
Are these powders specific to skin tone or is it just the colors do different things? I have fair skin and wasn't sure which one to get.

I just purchased this in Mythic but was debating on whether to get that or Beige Chic. I ended up getting the Mythic because I went on another site and they said that Mythic was supposed to be for light to medium complexions which would be me. On another note, I also have the loose version of this in Beige and that suits my fair to light complexion but just gives a bit of a sun kissed glow w/out being obvious. I guess it depends on what look you are going for. Hope that helps!

Another great option is to invest in a large puff. Laura Mercier makes a nice one and so does Make Up Forever. You just lightly swipe/swirl across the top of the compact and then apply. It is also much easier to carry this puff with you in your handbag on-the-go.

Because this is such a specialized product, I would advise against using a foundation brush (too dense) or a 'multi-function' brush (don't want to mix products). I'd purchase either the Meteorites pink brush or the Bare Ecsentuals full face brush. It means adding to your investment, but is worth it.

Question
Pearlescence
Does the pearlescence last? I just got mine today and although I love how my skin looks (it possitively glows!) I looked at the remaining compact and saw that the area where my brush had touched was not as pearlescent. I imagine that is what makes the skin look so glowy. Is this the same with the loose pearls?

This product is amazing! I have it in Mythic Parfait and also Nacre des Mers which was a limited edition and i love both of them. The pearly effect never fades and it's still there in your powder even if you don't see it :D

I have had all three compacts since they launched and the pearlescence never goes away! That's why it's such an amazing product and worth every penny!!!

#3 This powder is very light my skin is fair and I always buy a shade darker but #3 was great for me and I was using it in the winter I wish that they would do more shades darker so I can use it in the summer when I have a tan.

I would defintely recoment the Meteorites Illuminating Pressed Powder for your skin tone. I myself am very fair with green eyes and pink undertones and I think this product works great as a finishing powder. I will also add a little extra under my eyes and the very top of my cheekbone for a little bit of a highlight. As a nurse, I have a very busy schedule and this is great for a touch up mid day. Not to mention, I love the smell!

Question
Coverage
Does this powder cover any minor imperfections? Or does it al least even out your skin tone? I have their primer and it's gorgeous but i'm thinking of buying this too.. I just want something that will even out my skin but I don't want a foundation or anything.. Will this work for me?

This evens out the skin but doesn't provide heavy coverage by any means.

Question
How do you use it?
Should you swirl the brush to combine the outer colors and use the pearl in the center as a sort of "spot" treatment, mix them all together or use them separately?

Usually I swirl all the colors together but occasionally I will single out the center color and use it as a subtle yet beautiful eye shadow.
