Good for oily skin?
I only have one skin care problem, oily skin. I have tried a bevy of primers out there and although some do help a little, on the whole my face is shiny in about an hour after foundation application. So my question is for you oily gals out there. Let me know..........

Yes! I feel this product works better for me (combination/oily skin) than the Smashbox light primer. It lasts longer and my feel looks better through out the day. It does contain silicone though. I do use this one for very special occasions because it's so pricey for the size, but a little does go a long way.

use with tinted moisturizers
I am currently using this primer after my moisturizer and it works wonderfully; however, I just purchased a tinted moisturizer and was curious to know whether I can use this under the tinted moisturizer. Because the tinted moisturizer is a moisturizer + foundation-like product in one, will this primer work under the tinted moisturizer, directly on the skin (prior to moisturizer application)? Thanks!

Yes, use it under the tinted moisturizer. I have a friend who uses the primer by itself without foundation or any kind of tint. Your skin will look beautiful with just the primer on.

i've tried that... and it works fine. what this does is smooth out your skin... and the tinted moisturizer will glide on smooth as well. i did that once... and set it with a powder and it gave me the very natural radiant, even-toned skin. (:

Ditto what the reviewer before me wrote. It will, but if your skin is oily, you will still need to blot through out the day, just waaaay less.

It does reduce it, yes. I still need a blotting sheet at least once a day, but I use the Sephora blotting films--they are AWESOME and make my makeup look fresh as new after using.

My foundation tends to crease in my smile lines, and that just emphasizes my little smile line and makes it look 10x deeper! Does this primer help prevent creasing in smile/laugh lines?

Do you apply La Base before moisturizer or after
I have light skin that is very dry and 60 years old. I have to use a moisturizer and am addicted to Lancome's Hydra Zen for dry skin. (Please don't discontinue it!!) I just don't know when to apply LaBase, before or after the Hydra Zen. Thanks

Is this non-comedogenic? Is it comparable to Vincent Longo Water Canvas Base?
Hello, I have dry but acne prone skin. I want to find a primer that will prevent my liquid foundation from looking scaly and dry after I apply it. I also want one that will not make my skin break out since I am acne prone. I currently use Vincent Longo Water Canvas Base really like it, but am looking for something new (and comparable to it). It does not make me break out, and usually prevents the cakey look of dry skin + makeup. If this is not comparable to VL Water Canvas Base, can you tell me what is? Thanks!

This product is essentially pure silicone, so if you are acne prone I would not recommend it.

Will this well with Mineral Powder Foundations?
I use another brand's mineral powder foundation and need a good primer that helps smooth/fill in fine lines, larger pores, as well as provide a good primer base for the foundation. While I love the makeup I am personally not happy with the other brand's primer and am on the hunt for a new primer.

Will Lancome's La Base Pro work well with a mineral powder foundation, given I allow the product enough time to dry before apply my makeup??

Bang for your buck - How much product??
I have searched here on Sephora, on Lancome's site, and on other retailers sites to find the amount/weight of this product with no success. It's a little annoying (hint hint Lancome!!)

So how much bang for your buck do you get? How much product do you get, in fluid oz or ml however they have it listed on the packaging?

With this product a very small small amount goes a long way.... think one very small dot on each cheek. 0.8 fl oz, a little spendy but well worth the price for the result. Drys fast also.

Love the La Base Pro!....However I am wondering how long to I wait til I apply the actual make up ( I am using the lancome mineral powder)....do I wait till La Base Pro dries " all the way"
or do I put powder on while my face it a little damp?

After applying La Base Pro, wait a few moments for it to dry down then follow with your foundation and powder.
