I purchased the sharpener and it works every time. I even use it for some of my other products because the sharpener works so well.

I use the pencil sharpener by Nars, because it has dual sharpeners, one for smaller pencils, and one for larger pencils. I got it on line at Sephora. It is the best pencil sharpener I have used.

Do NOT use any CHEAP pencil sharpener. If you don't want to spend $9 on the UD brand one, atleast buy the sephora brand sharpener. Its white and is around 3 dollars. In the store, I have the makeup artist demonstrate how well it sharpens without wasting any product. I mean if you're going to buy high-end makeup, atleast buy the proper products to maintain it, which means not something from a drugstore that will eat the pencil and the money you spent on it, but from sephora.

Hey, this lip pencil is just like UD eyeliners. They can be sharpened with any sharpener. I recommend UD's Grindhouse you can get it at any Sephora store or online and runs about $9.

I have the same lip liner, and no. It is not self sharpening. None of Urban Decay's pencils are. You do need to purchase a sharpener if you do not already have one. If you don't have one, I suggest the Urban Decay Grind House. It's super cute, super sharp for a nice sharpening result, and super portable!

Any small sharpener works for mine.

It is a pencil just buy Urbans wonderful sharpener or any other cosmetic pencil sharpener they are very cheap and last forever.

Use your lip color pencil. It is a regular size sharpener.

Get the UD Grindhouse Sharpener .. you will waste half the product if you use a regular sharpener .. it may sound crazy , but trust me !

You can use a regular makeup pencil sharpener

Apply a small amout of foundation onto your lips...blending it well, cover with a light pressed power and THEN apply your lip liner and lipstick... it will last all day long without feathering! Guaranteed!

You may want to try Ozone which is clear. It can be used outside the lip line to prevent feathering, or on the lips to keep gloss in place.

Urban Decay's lip pencil in Ozone is completely clear and works with all colors of lipstick and gloss. It does an excellent job preventing lipstick from feathering and going outside your lip line. I especially like using it with dark red and plum colored lipsticks. It makes the lipstick last longer, and I don't experience any feathering or creasing in my lips. I highly recommend using this product.

Line your lips with a nude pencil first. Then, using a lip brush, brush on your favorite dark lipstick. Then blot with a tissue and then, brush it on again. Trust me, I'm a professional. I would tell you to take a tissue and then set it with powder but you'd never do it :) OK, now you have two coats of color on your lips over nude so it's good to stay. Next, yes, the quest for perfection is never-ending, top with a gloss. Take the gloss out with you (not the lipstick). A gloss or a stain actually. You won't need to add a lot of color throughout your event or evening after all that prep. But you will need moisture and shine as a touch-up. In the time it has taken me to write this, you can do that to your lips It sounds far more complicated than it actually is. Capisce?

The Urban decay Ozone (reverse lipliner) in clear is your answer, I am an older woman and this product keeps all my lip products in place. My lips look incredible all day!!!

Using a lip liner before applying lipstick will prevent feathering.

I'd suggest TooFaced's lip primer and UrbanDecay's Naked lipliner. That holds my lipsticks in, and my favorite gloss to use which shows the least "movement"/ bleeding over time is Bobbi Brown's CLEAR. Good luck!

Any lip liner should help. But the best in my opinion is Urban Decays Ozone, it's goes on completely clear and prevents feathering. Good luck!

I would DEF not use this on your eyes. Eye products are usually specially formulated and using products not meant for the eye area can be really irritating or unsafe. Also, this pencil is clear, so there wouldn't really be any benefit to using it on your eye. The Urban 24/7 EYEliners are GREAT, though, and I really recommend them.

I use EYE liner for my eyes and LIP liner on my lips, so I don't know. I sure like it on my lips.

I've not tried it because I have very sensitive skin, eyes, lips. The lip and eye liners do not bother me at all so maybe I should try, but why when there are so many great eye liner colors in Urban Decay.

I wouldn't try it on my eyes. It's really creamy and might not be eye friendly.

I would not use this on your eyes. It would definitely irritate. It's such a smooth pencil i think it might smudge easily as well and not last.

I have not used it on my eyes but I must say that in general, the lip liners are much smoother and creamier than the eye liners. I recently bought zero and yeyo eye pencils since I was so impressed with the lip pencil. Sad to say, I hated the zero. Even when I used primers Too Face and Urban Decay, it didn't look that great. Maybe the primer samples given to me went bad. I'm willing to try it again.

NO. Never use anything on your eyes that has not been specially formulated for them! That's like using car washing fluid as body wash. Eye products are specifically formulated to be safe for use on the eyes, so they won't irritate them or cause any harm or infections. Things like lip liner and the like are not safe for use on the eyes because they aren't formulated for it. I DO NOT suggest that you try. You might do some real harm to yourself.

In general the pigments used in lip colors are not appropriate for eye wear and can cause irritation and breakouts.

I don't think this color but I am sure you could use it on your eyes as it is so soft

Hi, I have olive skin and love the color GASH for a nice RED LIP.... not sure of the neutral colors but this is the only red I wear...

I actually got this today and I looked at all the colors and I thought hmm a lil to bright for me. So I ended up trying wallflower and it's perfect! We're all different but I'm sure there is a shade for you!

I have olive skin as well and love the Nude paired with the Nude lip gloss. Just enough color without being harsh.

Olive skin tones: use gold, brown.
Use lipsticks with out yellow tones or blue tones. Use something that has a reddish brown to it. Does this help?

The color Gash works well with olive to dark skin tones. It compliments the skin tone and doesn't look harsh. Plus the liner stays on until you decide to wipe it off.

It definitely matches the lip glosses, but I've never tried the lip sticks. I have the pencil in Naked and the gloss in Naked. A perfect match!

The color IS really close and is TOTALLY worth getting, in my opinion, because it really enhances the color of the Gash lipstick. That being said, I REALLY love the Ozone pencil because it's clear and can go with anything. It's so universal and also smoothes out those tiny lines around my lips. Either is a good choice. It just depends on if you want to deepen the shade of your lipstick or if you want something that can be worn with any color.

I blend with a neutral lip color or clear for a slight contrast, but younger lips can use both lip liner and lip color together. Too deep for my age group to use both colors together I think.

I have gash, and I love the red. I do not have the lip stick with the same name, so I am not sure if it matches; but I use gash with Kat Von D's Underage Red to help the color stay, and those two mesh really well together. I hope this helps.

I love the clear liner, I use it with lip gloss and you can't tell I have lip liner on at all. As far as "Gash" my mom wears it, I don't know if it is the same as the lipstick, but I can tell you that it is a TRUE brick RED. It isn't in any way burgundy, so if your looking for a very red lip liner I'd go with Gash. If your looking for something to keep your lipstick or gloss from feathering and don't care for color go with Ozone.

I recommend the clear as it eliminates the need to color match. It's like magic.

I've used my Chanel sharpener successfully with this lip pencil. Does a great job of sharpening it without a lot of wasted product. Would think you could use any small lip or eye pencil sharpener that you already own.

I have no problems with this product, stays put, and the clear does not show, my lips look incredible now.

I haven't personally used Ozone in the past, but I have used clear lip liners and I put them directly on my lips. It's a great concept since you will never have to worry about purchasing multiple lip liners to match your lipsticks! You could put it just on the edge of your lips right before your skin to see if that causes any issues, then go further if it doesn't. Good luck!

I line my lips with Ozone and also fill in my lips with it before applying my lipstick. I do not line outside of my lips. I have not had any feathering and I love it!

I use it like I would normal lip liner, and it's super effective. I've also applied it outside of my lip line, without any ill effects. This is just me, though. Remember that everyone's skin reacts differently to different things. the best I can tell you is to just try it out! If it works for you using it outside your lip line, then awesome! If not, you still have an invisible lip liner that's good for anything. Any color, anywhere.

I bought Ozone and its the best ! I can use it with ANY color and it really works ! I have not had any probs w/ zits . I mainly bought it to use with the DuWop Twilight Venom bcuz it bleeds badly but I love the color, and it has worked great !

You could give Wallflower a try. Paranoid would be too dark for peachy lipstick.
