I read on one of their discontinued blushes that there was paraffinum liquidum (mineral oil) in it! Blah! Hopefully, the new ones don't have any. I'm not really a Smashbox fan.

Question
Radiance
I have very fair skin with cool undertones and almost-black hair and eyes. I'm looking for a sheer, bright, bluish pink color (that I would apply really lightly) - has anyone used the radiance shade? If so, how bright is it and how does it look on fair skin tones?

I have very similar colouring in that I definitely have "cool" undertones, pale skin, dark (almost black) hair, but green eyes and I love my radiance blush - Make sure you apply it with a light hand as it is strongly pigmented, knowing you could always build the colour. It gives a great flush with almost no glitter/sparkle.

i, too, have super-fair bluish skintone, but light brown hair and blue eyes. i found that smashbox's blush rush cheek color in flush is the best buy under fifty bucks. it's a little bit on the shimmery side, but is natural-looking on blue undertoned fair skin. until i found this shade, i had the problem of every color i bought turning out too red/orange/yellow/peach when applied.

I love this blush, it's both sheer and bright. I have a medium complexion but I think it would be beautiful on a fair complexion. It has just the right amount of shimmer and it goes on beautifully. I use a bamboo brush to apply it and I get the result I want everytime! I definetly recommend this product:)

You will want to avoid the pink tones if you have some rosacea. Pinks will highlight this skin issue or make it look worse. Instead, try something in a peach or coral color. And, definitely use a light hand.

Hide the rosacea with a mineral powder on the yellow side. Then choose a blush that is a light pink. It will look fresh.

Question
Color question
I have light skin with yellow/neutral undertones, green eyes and brunette hair. I am looking for a little pop of color to wake up my face. Which color would you recommend? And is there a different recommendation for summer vs. fall/winter? Thanks!

Another vote for radiance. I have pale olive skin, and this color looks great.

It seems we have a similar skin and hair colours (my eyes are blue, not green), so I would recommend "radiance". It looks very bright, I know, but if you tap your brush on a washcloth, for instance, prior to putting it on your face, you will avoid over-applying it. I also wear this colour all year round: I use bronzer during the summer, and I only apply the blush over the apples of my cheecks; during the fall/winter, I skip the bronzer and apply the blush across my cheeckbones. Hope this helps!

I have light skin/neutral tone, green eyes and dark blonde hair - and I use the radiance shade year round. Looks very bright but a light dusting is really so nice - I love the color!

They all have at least a slight shimmer, but it is hardly noticeable and this blush looks very natural looking and adds a nice glow to the cheeks.

Although it looks shimmery in the compact it isn't shimmery when applied. I love the natural look of this blush

Does not come with an applicator, but I highly recommend one by Sephora. Can't remember the number, but it's a blush brush from the Sephora line, is silver and has white bristles. It's very soft and works great on the cheeks!

Unfortunatly there isn't, it does come with a mirror though. I'd definetly reccomend a fan brush for this (and any) blush, because it allows a natural looking application without looking overdone.

No, it's a powder blush, but it doesn't look chalky on at all. (I have super dry skin, so that's definitely something I pay attention to...)

I'd suggest Chiffon. It has just the right amount of peach in it to complement medium golden skin tones.

It's what I use and I have never used a blush that was so natural looking before.

Be aware though, this product is EXTREMELY pigmented and it will not take as much product to achieve the same results as some other lines. I use a fanbrush to apply my blush and the brush looks as if it didn't actually pick up any of the blush, but when you apply it to your face it is just the right amount.
