Perhaps trying in store the second darkest shade. All 4 shades are all different. Also ask for a sample and try it at home in your normal lighting.

I recommend you try #2 nude beige. #1 is for fair skin, #3 has a pink undertone that does not work with olive skin. And #4 is quite dark.

I have olive skin as well and nude beige works great.

I purchased the Yves Saint Laurent ANTI-CERNES Multi-Action Concealer tube in August 2010 and just bought a new tube in January 2011. I use this product every day for under my eyes and sometimes to cover an occasional blemish. I still have a tiny bit left from the tube I purchased in August. I didn't want to run out completely and be totally without. I believe it's safe to say that the tube will last you between 5 to 6 months.

As this product is concentrated, if used daily it should still last for 6 months to a year.

However, if you are applying the item directly from the tube and especially around the eye area, we would suggest purchasing a new one after 3-6 months to prevent the buildup of bacteria.

However, if applied with a clean concealer brush daily it would be okay to keep the item for up to a year.

Please, Sephora! Please design a review system that will help assist people with their purchases. People posting reviews will say they hate the color they bought, however they usually don't state WHICH color they bought. The review process should require this info. I think it is hard to say that one shade will work the same way for another. I know it is more convenient to order online but the best way is to go to the store and get one of the Sephora specialists to bring shade samples for you to try on. I am Asian, medium skin tone but need a lighter shade around the eye area, the #3 pink beige works well. Mind you, I would not have picked that but again that's why trying it out at the store is important. Hope this helps and good luck!!!

I almost wanted to try YSL Touche Eclat, but they say it won't cover well.

This is an excellent concealer for covering up acne scars. Touche Eclat is more like a highlighter and may not give the coverage you need. For your skintone, we would suggest checking out #2 Nude Beige

I just ordered the #2 in YSL (anti-cernes) under-eye concealer and I need to return it. I'm unsure whether the best tone would be the first one (for very fair skin) or for the third, which is for those with pink undertones. I have fair skin with pink undertones but not so porcelain looking like Nicole Kidman's or anything. #3 is darker than #2. These shades are limited, so there may not be a perfect shade for you--I am light skinned and have a yellow tone to my skin with cool undertone (light Mediterranean complexion) and I use #1 in winter as undereye concealer. I think #1 will work with most light skin tones though.

The concealer is definitely what you're going to want. The highlighter doesn't really do anything with regards to coverage, it basically is just a really thin thin foundation that has some brightness to it to highlight. I've found that what works best for underneath my eyes is primer, then liquid eye cream (dior has a good one, or even lancome), and then this concealer. I found that this ysl concealer didn't have great coverage by itself, but was great to use last to give that nice finished look.

You kind of do need a highlighter in addition to a concealer if you have really puffy eyes, or dark circles. Once you apply the concealer and let it absorb a little then draw a line with the highlighter directly on the dark crease and under the puffiness, and then blend it slightly with a brush. I find this works best to hide the discoloration and make your eye look smoother and more awake.

I find that many concealers in stick form are too dry. I don't like having to rub under my eyes a lot to get the concealer to blend. So have you found this concealer to be too dry?

I think it is important to always put eye cream on before applying any makeup around the eyes. If you apply an undereye cream before you put this on I think you will love it.

I find it not to be drying at all, and I have dry skin. As with any concealer for under the eyes I suggest that you make sure that you are using an under eye moisterizer as that may help.

The only way they suggest not using it is over powder. But you can use it over or under foundation, over or under eyelids. It's so magically lightweight!

Yeah, you could use this on your eyelids, however I would probably use a liquid eye cream first. I didn't find that this gave great coverage by itself. I use this underneath my eyes, but again only after I put the liquid eye cream on (and primer on before that).
