I still use a cleanser after this because I think the oil just helps break up the oil and make up of the day.

I have not used/needed a second product with this cleanser. I have used a warm washcloth on one occasion when I was removing heavier evening makeup but here was no makeup residue at all on the white washcloth.

Question
Possible Makeup Remover?
I'm aware this product is said to be a cleanser, but since they accentuate that fact that it also removes makeup really well it got me thinking if this product can be used as a makeup remover. Most of the reviews I read say that they use it as a cleanser so I'm very apprehensive about buying it because I'm already in love with another Lancome cleanser and I don't want to switch. Do you all think that using this as a makeup remover would be alright? Thanks in advance! <3

To me this is nothing more than a makeup remover. I feel this would be too much of a cleanser unless you have very dry skin. I always use a regular facial soap afterward to avoid any traces being left on the skin.

It is a good makeup remover. Your normal cleanser should be used after this. That should help with really stubborn eye makeup.

If you ask a Lancôme rep (which I did lol) they'll tell you it's a make up remover. I use it mainly as a cleanser tho coz I don't use make up. Try looking at you tube- there's a girl who reviewed this product as a make up remover. She's funny coz she can't pronounce the product's name although she made a nice review.

This cleanser can be used for all skin types, even skin that tends to be more oily.
I was told that even with the skin oils this will break down oil build up. I love this cleansing oil but use it only at night and remove with a warm washcloth. I use Clarisonic but not with this cleanser. You have to be careful with the pump; I have had 2 that have broken and I find the dispensing method should be revised.
