I used to wear Mac 25 and I use MUFE HD color 115 in Ivory. It is slightly lighter than the 25, but a little bronzer after makes it perfect.

when i went into a Sephora store the woman who helped me took a few minutes to put a bunch of different shades on me and match it to my skin color, and when i was unsure about buying it or not because of the price, she gave me some for free in a little cup to take with me and try out, enough for 2 whole days for someone who covers their whole face.

Question
Becoming a Makeup Artist
I'm starting out as a makeup artist, however I currently only have products for light skin. I'm personally incredibly pale and use #110 on myself and love it, but any suggestions on what other shades to purchase so I will be able to work with all future clients' complexions?

when i first bought this product, i went to a sephora store and had one of their make-up artists help me choose the shade. i'm pretty fair-skinned too but i really don't like looking too pale. we liked either the 117 or the 120 in the store but i have settled on the 120. i add the cargo hd bronzer when i want to add a little contour or tan. i think the 117 is slightly yellower and the 120 is a bit warmer. hope this helps!

I use Sephora's #47 Foundation brush and it works pretty well. I'd almost go with more of a round Foundation brush though so you can buff it in a bit more.

I use the sephora brand professional foundation brush #47. it really spreads the make up out, and evenly, so that i use less of the foundation. its a little streaky but not too bad.

Definitely use the Makeup Forever blush. I use it and it lasts all day long. I go home after 10 hours at work, and my blush is still there. I wouldn't trade it for anything!

If your face burns easily, first try a moisturizer with an SPF 15 or 30.
I use the 115 shade of this product and have a light skin tone. If you can go to a store, try the shades lighter than 130 on the underside of your chin to see if it will blend with your skin tone. Try a great bronzer to even out the color between your tanned body and lighter face. Ask an associate to give you a sample of the shade you determine is right for you and try it at home for a few days to ensure you like it.

I always try the product out in the store. Do not purchase the shade unless you have tried it on and are satisfied that it matches your skintone. Once, I actually bought the MF HD in a tone that was too dark by accident and the next day they accepted my return. Mistakes happen but take your time to assure the right shade.

It's probably not the color you're wearing at all -- if the color matches your skin tone, it should also match your skin tone in photos and not look to white or ashy. Actually, there's a chemical that is used in a lot of makeups (can't remember which one it is right now) that creates this effect. Rest assured, this makeup was developed to be used under the harsh lights of film and photography sets. So, it should look as great on you in photos as it does in person!

I would recommend a foundation that is yellow based, as opposed to one that is more red based because you want to neutralize the red you have in your skin. I would recommend calling a representative at 877-sephora and seeing if they can help you. They have a great return policy, so if it is the wrong shade then send it back with the postage paid return label included in the box. I would recommend also trying a moisturizer with no spf, since you're saying when you take pictures that they appear ghostly. If you are not using SPF then I am not sure would be causing that. If you don't wear blush already, I would consider purchasing blush.

Perhaps look into a bronzer to add some color to your complexion. No ones face is single-toned naturally, so bronzer and blush can add the color and dimension you might be lacking when using a foundation on it's own. Also, if you're worried about photography, know that the flash will automatically dilute the color in your face, so don't be afraid to add some color to your cheeks with blush, or under your cheekbones and across the forehead with a bronzer. If that's still not working, maybe the flash is too close.

I screwed up my last attempted answer you. The additional Info tab helps you find the correct concealer. Go to the TOP of the page and click on View all Make up forever. You should be able to find a shade guide with REAL FACES wearing the color of the foundation. It helps to see the colors on real women, not just a swatch and description. Again, for you, I would go with something light to med. with olive undertones(Italian skin). I hope I'm helping more than confusing! Caio bella!

I was thinking Golden Honey or Dark Sand. Your photo looks like you have skin that is somewhere between med/light. Try to decide if you are med or light and then go with a shade that has olive or yellow undertones(I would lean more towards olive, you Italian bella donna :) ! FYI- If you click on the additional info tab at the bottom of the color chart, there is a AWSOME shade finder site. It really helped me. Caio!

It's really hard to pick the right shade without testing it. I'm pretty sure you can make returns if you pick the wrong one, but even better, I'd recommend going into a Sephora store one day with no makeup on and asking for a consultation. I'd highly recommend this product - it's worth the extra you pay over a drugstore foundation, and I've never received so many compliments on my skin until I started using this makeup. There are so many shades you're bound to find the perfect one!

This foundation does NOT have an SPF, because it is an HD formula designed to look great in flash photography. SPF contains titanium dioxide, which gives you a white cast in flash photography. That is why this foundation looks great in flash photos, because it does not contain SPF!
If you're going out to take pictures with this foundation, I recommend that you do not wear ANY SPF products.
However, if you use this as an everyday foundation, I recommend that you wear SPF in the form of your moisturizer, primer, powder, or just plain sunscreen.

I don't think the HD foundation have SPF. What I do is where something that is SPF underneath like a moisturizer or a primer. It's something you should start out for good skin care.

Question
Can I use this formula in an airbrush?
I need a foundation that isn't too thick so I can use it in my airbrush. Would this foundation be compatible with that? Has anyone done this before? Because the foundations that are made for airbrushes that I have tried are aweful. So I would like to choose something else. Help!?

I have had an airbrush and I WOULD NOT use this foundation or any other foundation not made just for airbrushes in an airbrush system. The foundation must be almost as thin as water to work in an airbrush. If it is too thick, it can clog the system. Call or look at the website for your airbrush system and see what foundations they recommend. Also there are other professional makeup companies that sell specific airbrush formulas. Good luck

I've never tried it in an airbrush, but I think it would probably work really well. This is a GREAT full coverage foundation that goes on really smooth. it isn't thick and it doesn't get "chunky".

I wouldn't say that this foundation is sweatproof. I have oily skin and live in an area where the summers are humid. I was oily within 3 hours of wearing this foundation, even after setting with the HD powder. This is a great product and MUFE is a great line; however, I would recommend the MUFE Matte Velvet Plus for you. I hope you find this helpful.
