I think that speaks to how much women love this product! I always just ask to be notified when it is back in stock and it never takes more than a week.

If you have the option, head in to your nearest Sephora store. They may have your color in stock and/or will be able to let you know when they will.

Question
What is the best way to apply this foundation to make it last?
I just bought this foundation at Sephora a few days ago. I absolutely love the color because it matches so well. I have combination skin. An oily t-zone with random dry spots here and there. When the consultant at Sephora applied it to my skin it went on fine and stayed on. Granted it was only a few hours before I removed it. Now that I apply it at home it goes on fine after I have moisterized and put primer (smashbox photo finish), and applied with a brush. But after about a 4 hr wear my face gets extremely oily and the make up begins to get blotchy. Is there a better way to apply to avoid this happening? Or should I just return it and find something more suitible? Thank You!

I think I would probably try a different primer before I gave up on it.... I have found that by using Becca's Ever Matte Poreless primer on my t-zone and another good primer everywhere else (the Becca is almost too thick to use all over). This really helps keep my makeup on.

However, I will say that I had the same problem with this particular foundation and I wasn't able to fix it with primer. Hope you get a solution soon!

i used this for a while on a daily basis and it did make my skin feel congested, but it didn't break me out horribly. I suggest using this only for special days and go for something lighter on regulard days.

I can't find a 100% answer, but it looks like it is non-comedogenic. They don't come right out and say it but several people have said it's one of the only foundations that won't break them out.

Hi Xtine00,

It has a light weight texture however, we recommend visiting your local Sephora Store to request a sample. A Cast Member can make you one from a tester in store.

I use 2 pumps night and day (4 pumps total) and that lasted about 3 months. Stick to 2 pumps and if you only use it every other night it could last you 6+ months.

Some other products that do something similar only tell you to apply to your dark spots, but I personally prefer all over the face for that instant luminous look.

Make-up Forever's liquid foundation is great at covering flaws and looking believable! The color matching is near perfect. Sometimes I blend two colors for a more natural look. It definitely gives a dewy look. As far as dry skin, you should focus on a good moisturizer, allowing it to dry before putting on your make-up. As far as acne, be diligent with you cleansing routine especially washing off your make-up at night to prevent clogged pores. And one of the most important, but looked over steps, clean you make-up brushes at least once a week.

Question
How do these shades compare to the Mat Velvet?
I wear the No. 15- Alabaster in the Mat Velvet foundation but find that it is too heavy. What color of this foundation would match the color of that one?

I'd have to say the HD foundation has a larger variety of undertones than the Matte Velvet. I tried the Matte Velvet in their lightest shade, and what made it so great for my pale skin was the lack of undertone at all. It was, quite literally, white. Even I had to pack on the blush to try to look alive wearing the Matte Velvet. When I switched to the HD, I had a few more options for shades with color that still matched my fair skin.
