I recently saw this hair straightener at a very large Sephora store in San Francisco. I think generally it can only be ordered online, but if you have access to a reeeeeally big Sephora store they might have it there.

I use it on the highest temperature 410 and do it when my hair is damp, not soaking wet. The steaming you hear is not damaging the hair it is the product and the moisture being locked into your hair.

I once didn't get an instruction book either. If you contact T3, they will send you for free in the mail. That's what they did for me. But to answer your question - you should use the lowest temperature that achieves results. I would start from 230 and work your way up. But make sure that your hair is damp, not wet either otherwise you could have damage. It would really help if you use a heat protectant as well.

Although the convenience of straightening hair wet seems like a great time saver, I have heard that it can actually damage hair and promote breakage and split ends because your hair naturally holds in moisture. When you heat up the follicle with a straightener it will boil away the moisture inside your follicle, leaving it dry and damaged. I would recommend you air or blow dry your hair on low, and use a heat protecting hair product before using any straightener to minimize damage. I would never straighten hair that is wet. Also never use a brush on wet hair because it stretches and breaks hair, a wide tooth comb is best if your hair is wet.

Question
Can I curl with T3 pro wet/dry iron?
Hi, I love using my T3 wet/dry iron, but I was wondering if I could also use it to curl my hair. My hair texture is fine, wavy thick hair. It does a magnificent job at straigtening my hair. I just wanted to know if I could also use it to make smooth waves. Thanks for your time, Dee

You know, I haven't tried to curl with it. I remember once my hair dresser used a hair straighter to wave my hair just by twisting the flat iron around. You should try that I see how the waves come out. I have a curler myself, that I never use, I get very frustrated and annoyed and give up.

Question
Voltage that can be handeled
Hi, I'm a canadian, currently living in europe, my straightening iron does not support the 240 voltage that is standard here, so i'm looking to replace it. Electronics of this type are really expensive here, and i have several sephora gift cards from canada that i would like to use to purchase a new straightner and curling iron. I'm looking for a model that have a converter built in that supports the candian and european voltage (240 volts max) are there any models available with a converter? It will save me from having to use a wall plug converter which doesn't guarantee that the machine won't blow up while i'm using it.
Thanks

Plates are 1-5/8" wide. I just used mine today to curl for the first time, and it worked great. It creates big soft waves rather than curls, but they look natural and awesome (in my opinion!)

It really straightens the hair well, but I had to buy an electric pressing comb to straighten my roots since it wasn't doing a good job. I would recommend the mini T3 over this bigger one for curly hair.
