Serums are treatments not moisturizers. The use of either depends on your age & skin condition. In your 20s a good moisturizer w/SPF should do it. This product is targeted to 40+ in age ~ aged/dry skin loves the combo of this product and Vinexpert Radiance day cream. Caudalie is one of the best ~ my introduction was on my 40th birthday, that was 17 years ago. I will never use another line, I found the best!

I've used it both ways, but I think it's better to follow with a light moisturizer -- esp. in the winter and if you have aging skin, which tends to get dry. Their day moisturizer is great -- a bit of shimmer to it --

In this hot weather I would use a fluid,something lighter than a cream on top
of the Vinexpert Serum during day.Try Caudalie Vitaminee Pulpe Emulsion
Anti-Wrinkle Fluid-beautiful results day or night and lovely slight grape scent.
In winter-if like me you need more hydratiion to combat the weather-try one
of Caudalie's Radiance creme or fluid,gives a slight sparkle too.

Whenever you use any type of serum, always put that on first, then your moisturizer. And, if you're using a moisturizer that does not contain sunscreen, always put the sunscreen on next. If you're using a powder or foundation, put that on over the sunscreen. It's called layering products for optimal effectiveness. As a licensed esthetician, I am always glad to answer questions. This is one step in the skincare regimen. You won't get as good results using something that combines, it won't be as strong, and sometimes certain ingredients don't play well together so they need to be applied separately. It doesn't take that long to apply, and you can use it along with moisturizer nighttime only if you just want to use moisturizer in the morning.

I use this serum with the Bliss Triple Oxygen cream. Your complexion looks great after one use. Your skin will have that "dewy" look. I don't have any wrinkles yet so I can't say that it diminishes your wrinkles. I use this as a prevantative.

I generally use it under my moisturizer--both in the morning & the evening. It helps immensely to hydrate my skin (I live in a very dry climate). In the summer, on warmer days, I find the serum alone is an effective light moisturizer.

Personally, I like the face firming serum for the eye area better than the serum made for the eyes and lips because I think the effect lasts longer but I don't think it's really made for the eye area so people with very sensitive skin could probably have a reaction.

These are both great products and should be used if you are targeting these areas, or if you are experiencing problems intermittently. I use the Firming Serum all over my face and chest, except around my eyes which I use products that are designed for that area only.

I asked that same question. If you've got firming wishes in more than the eye area, my cosmotologist told me to use this instead. The difference is in how the product is absorbed. Apparently the eye lip product is absorbed faster.

It should be used after face cleansing and before moisturizing. The serum is a bit moisturizing in itself, but doesn't do enough for a combo or dry skin type. It really is great for smoothing out the skin and reducing pore size. I use it mostly for wrinkle prevention.

nothing will ever REALLY work

all u slather on your face goes on the top layer

aging is two layers down

all we r doing is keep this top layer semi-happy

it does not change anything per se

i say: do NOT expect miracles

sure, exfoliate, moisturize, but GENETICS is boss.

I didn't really need this sort of thing until after I had my first child--that was at 38-- so you might not need it yet. But yes, I notice that if I don't use a really good product at least every other day, the old problems creep back.

I don't think that it is that the lines "come back" after stopping a product that works. It is more that age marches on. So, in a way, you might think that your skin is sort of addicted to a product that helps firm it or eliminates the lines, but actually you are really fighting off the effects of aging. So if you stop a good product then you start to age again. If you keep using a good product, you are slowing down time. See?

This is not the same old product in new packaging. It contains Resveratrol-Oleyl. which is a new ingredient patented in 2012. When you use it you can actually feel your skin tighten. It's a great product!
