I used a regular sharpener and it worked fine, but it's hard to get a good point. I think it's because the pencil is kind of soft and waxy.

This does seem to take a special type of sharpener, which I have. It isn't a wooden pencil - more like a plastic-type material, so it's a bit harder than wood, so you need a really sharp type of sharpener. Sorry I don't know the name of mine. Call Sephora and speak with one of their Customer Service people, who should be able to help you.

Any make up pencil sharpener should work. The one I use is at least 15 years old (Garden Botanika) which has the two sizes - use the smaller size.

I'd say no because the last time I went swimming with this on it came off fairly quickly. If I cry I be sure not to touch my brows.

The brow pencil isn't "technically" waterproof but it's not coming off unless you rub it really hard or use face wash. Best brow pencil by far. Worth the money.

If you mean some kind of reddish or pinkish undertone, I would say no. It looks indeed very natural and my skin color has a warm undertone. So, it the brow pencil color is on the 'warm color' side too, it looks strange on me and this one does not.

Yes, the medium has a warm tint to it. I have some red in my brows and it matches beautifully. Not too dark, nor too light.

I find the tint to be pretty neutral, not too warm or cool. My skin has a cool undertone, but I dye my hair a coppery red, so it can be tough to match things, but this works pretty well as a neutral for me.

I have dark hair and I buy the Med. I have read in magazines that you should always go slightly lighter than your hair color on your brows.

It used to only come in light/medium and medium/dark. When they added the new shade "dark" light/medium became light and medium/dark became medium. So if you were using medium/dark you would use medium now. You don't wanna do the dark unless your hair is grayish, it's definitely not a dark brown color. Hope this helped :)

That might depend on your skin tone as well. I would recommend buying the MEDIUM shade since it's more natural looking and still adds amazing definition. Don't buy the dark shade because it would give you a very dramatic look.

I think you will be better off with the dark shade. I purchased the Medium shade and my hair is light blonde. The light shade is VERY light. They do not turn out as dark as other brow pencils. Hope this helps :).

yep! i have thick middle eastern brows (very black) and this pencil blends really well. the color is a lot like a good black eyeliner but the texture is less creamy (which makes for a more natural look IMO).

No it does not come with a sharpener. However, you can use any pencil sharpener with it. Works fine and does a great job. EAsy to sharpen.

Depends on if you want to match your hair color or eyebrow color. I would say to choose a color that best matches your natural hair color. Also to keep in mind that the more you apply this product the darker it comes out, maybe a medium color would look more natural. My hair color is more of a dark blond and my eyebrows are even a darker shade. The medium matches my brow color but the the light color looks more natural and matches my hair better.

its pretty nuetral.. probably leans more on the cool but since its sheer it pulls whatever your color is pretty well. It you are like strawberry blonde it probably won't pull enough red to look natural but if you just have a little warm tone it should work.

I use the sephora sharpener and it works very well. Because of the softness of the pencil, I have to sharpen fairly often.

It's a cream pencil, so there is no way to sharpen it.I used the product every day for a week, and by the end of the week it had completely run out.

They do sell a sharpener. It's a three way one- works for their standard pencil size as well as the two fatter sizes like eye bright and highbrow. I think its $5 or so..
