At Sephora, they will be happy to give you one at the store if you have a location near you or if not , try calling the nearest store and asking..

If you need a sample to try it out I would head into your nearest Neiman Marcus or Bergdorfs. They should be able to send you home with a small container. I've done it several times to check since I switch out colors during the summer months when I get a tan.

Go in to a store ... it's the BEST way to make sure the color matches. And they're always willing to give you a little sample to take home to be doubly sure.

I would definitely get the color that matches your foundation that closest. Keep in mind the changing seasons and if your tone is darker in the summer.

This product is not a product that will turn your skin orange.This is a great moisturizer that gives your skin a beautiful glow. I wear this alone during the day and add foundation when I want to be more polished.

It most definitely will not turn your skin orange; it is just a tinted moisturizer; not a sunless tanning product. I have fair skin but I use the Warm Radiance and mix it with my foundation to give it some color. Most people like the Natural Radiance; it would be closer to the Sand color.

This isn't a self-tanner, it simply has shimmer in it. It will not make your face orange (unless you buy it in an orange tone).

The Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer is less opaque than the other tinted moisturizers from LM and doesn't seem to offer as much coverage. It looks lovely on areas that are flawless, but actually seems to draw attention to blemishes. It does layer well with other LM Tinted Moisturizers, if you're looking for an illuminating effect.

The illuminating is fair superior--especially if you have "older" skin. It really does work. I'm 60 yrs. old and my skin hasn't looked this good for 10-15 years. Honestly.

The "illuminating" one is about as oily as a normal, daytime moisturizer. It has some shine without feeling especially oily. If you're not feeling old enough to want radiance, I'd go with the non-illuminating version. Try the oil-free version if you have oily or combination skin.

I have both. I like the illuminating one because it seems like there are more shades and it adds a little (not a lot) of dewiness to my skin. If I sweat though, my face looks incredibly shiny.

The regular is more matte, for sure. It looks better than the illuminating moisturizer as the day wears on and should probably be used if you tend to run around.

I tried one of their special brushes, but it really works better for me to just apply it with you fingers.

If you're applying the tinted moisturizer to your own face (rather than someone else's) I find that using your hands works best. The heat from your hands allows the makeup to emulsify and spread evenly. Just make sure that your hands are washed and clean before application :) If you're applying it to someone else's face, use a foundation brush (Sephora sells a few good ones I'm sure.)

You can use either your fingers or a flat foundation brush. Either way this blends nicely and can be built forked coverage but it gives a really nice Dewey glow even without anything else over it.

I have been applying this with my hands, but don't see why you couldn't use a sponge applicator. I've used brushes for applying powder, blush, eyeshadow and concealer, but never foundation. Is that done?

i usually just use my fingertips, or just spread it on your palms, and pat it on your face, i think it's more even and natural looking that way.

I would try Warm Radiance. I have medium skin w/pink undertones, and that one works perfect for me! :)

I love the Illuminating Natural Radiance tone - I think it would look great on light or olive toned skin (like mine).

Are you close to a store? They we gladly make you a sample so you know which color is best for you

I don't know what color you would use but after speaking to a sales person in the store looking to choose my color, she said you really can wear each color across the board regardless of your skin tone, it just gives you a different glow. I went with a little darker than my skin tone (even though that is usually a no-no) but it doens't look weird and there is no difinitive line where the moisturizer ends. I just have a healthy glow. Hope this helps.

all over - apply with fingers. Do it quick though, as it dries pretty quickly. A sponge will help to blend edges

Use the tinted moisturizer first, that way you already have a "foundation" so you won't need to use much more liquid make up.

I'd suggest foundation first to provide coverage, as this product enhnaces a tone and is quite light and sheer and gives that shimmer hint.. why cover it with a foundation

I use this all over my face every day and the bottle lasts me about 3-4 months...it might depend how much you use because I'd imagine ou could apply more for buildable coverage. I like it more sheer and I follow up with a powder.

I guess it depends how much you use. I use it only on my cheeks, so it should last a long time. The primer and regular tinted moisturizer are in the same size tubes and I use them on my entire face every day. They easily last over 6 months.

So far I've used it for about a month and a half and roughly 3-4 days a week. My guestimate of how long it would last would be 3-4 months depending upon usage. Also, I apply it very lightly.

Quick trip to your nearest Sephora store or match as close as you can to the color samples online. The online colors are a pretty good read if you cannot get to a store.

i use primer and tinted moisturizer in the summer, when my skin seems oiler, and just tm in winter. it's sheer... i don't like heavy foundation.

It really depends how much coverage you want. The LM primer really just acts as a base that holds your tinted moisturizer or liquid foundation on all day and keeps it looking fresh. Also the primer gives you a nice smooth surface so that when you apply foundation/tinted moisturizer you get an even application every time. The tinted moisturizer is a great product because its lightweight and gives a nice healthy finish. If you need more coverage for discoloration in areas you might want to use the liquid foundation because it covers imperfections and evens out your skin tone but will also give a natural finish.
