My opinion is the lighter your skintone is the darker your lipstick should be! Its a great and classic red that I imagine would look great on anybody. In short, yes, I think it will cimpliment you well.

I am as fair as they come and I have dark blackish hair with blue eyes. I love Hellbent and Underage Red. They are my two favorites, and both have great undertones.

The only way to find out if this product is a fit for you is to try it!! I am certain that you will find a red that is perfect for you in this collection!! If you feel that it is too bright you may want to try a lipliner in a more nuetral shade underneath. With your red/brown/auburn beautiful hair and green eyes a red lip will be perfect!! My personal advice is that none of the red colors were accurate with the color the website showed. Even the color in the tube did not look the same on my lips. I suggest trying out the MAC Cult of Cherry collection as it has some great reds in it.

hellbent is amazing! but if your worried about it being too red, mix it up with lolita! mixing these two makes an amazing rosy shade! great for any skin tone!

Hellbent is really bright. If you get it and it's too bright one thing I do to tone it down like if I'm going to work is put a clear lipgloss over it. It will pull the color a bit but it also helps to blend it in a weird way. I think it would look good on you though, especially with espresso colored hair.

Hellbent would be amazing on you. I also have fair skin with brown hair that has a little red, and one green eye (the other eye is brown) and the color looks great on me. I think you'll be pleased. But a word of caution, it's an attention getter so prepare yourself for the compliments.

I have not tried Hellbent but swear by Kat Von D's Painted Love Lipstick in Lolita. It is the PERFECT red for fair skinned, green eyed, red haired goddess like ourselves!!! I believe in it so much that I have 2 tubes at the ready at all times.

Helbent is a kind of blue red and although wear it sometimes I prefer Underage Red, which is more of an orange red. I have dark red or aubern hair and hazel eyes w/ a med to light skin tone. They say women prefer blue reds but men actualy prefer an orange red. I think I look better in Underage Red.

Helbent isn't as deep of a red as it looks....it has a slight pinkish hue to it. So if your hair is more on the dark side, you may not want to try this.

Try and green contact lenses and brown eyes it. I have received compliments from my sisters (no mean feat), and you can also add a little gloss to brighten or try blotting to tone down!

Hellbent is very blue based so that will give you a very dramatic and bold look. If you are pale with cold undertones, this is the color for you. Remember that it will give you a very glam and bold look so rock it right! Do a simple black liner with mascara and concentrate on the lip. Hotness! Have fun. I LOVE this shade.

Judging from your physical appearance, this shade would be beautiful on you. I have completely opposite phyisical features from what you've described but after purchasing this product and specifically "Hellbent", I am almost certain that this shade will look amazing paired with green eyes and red/brown hair. Definitely go for it!

Yes!! I would definitely recommend Hellbent for you! It is a beautiful rich red, not too deep or purple-ish which would probably not be as pretty with your coloring. It's a strong color but if you're into reds it's truely one of my favorites!!

This is REALLY, REALLY RED!!!!! I have red hair, right now I am more fair than medium in complexion, so the red on me is red and I love it. But I am also not a wallflower and do not blend into the woodwork. So, if you are the kind of woman who likes to stand out, this maybe the red for you. Use a a good lip-liner, something to even-out your skin tone, and black mascara and you will be kickin it. Good luck!

No, I don't think so. I loved the color Hellbent on the computer, but when I went to the store, the color is more pinky/fuschia. Not that nice at all. I am a fan of Kat Von D, but the makeup line has left me very unimpressed.

I would think with your dark hair, it would be a bold color for you. If you're not a shy gal, I'd go for it. I wear Misfit and it seems like a perfect red for any skin tone (I'm Asian with medium skin, brown eyes and black hair)...while it's bold on me, it doesn't make me feel self conscious. I actually feel like I have my "glamor" on and yet I can wear it during the daytime and feel comfortable. There is just something about the perfect red lipstick that can make you feel beautiful even when you're having a not-so-beautiful feeling day :-) BTW...if you haven't seen the shade in person...the computer colors are way off from the actual product.

try applying Korres Lemon Lip Scrub before apply your lipstick

Urban Decay has the BEST lip primer. It keeps my lip color, complete with two different glosses mixed together over it, ON. I only have to touch it up once a day, but with red, you have to be very careful. That stuff can and WILL go everywhere if you're not careful. Loose powder underneath your lips should help as well.

Try Lipcote lip sealant. Works like a charm.

I line and fill in my lips with a lip liner that matches and then put the lipstick on top. I've gone through a whole day with my lips "stained" and don't normally reapply unless I want the color to punch. Applying lip balm on top will only cause the color to wear off rather quickly. Usually wearing Bare Escentuals First Base lip balm does the trick for me.

Realistically, it's red... it's only going to look it's best for so long before you have to touch it up. Lip primers help to dry your lips a bit and hold the color but it can only do so much. If you are looking for longer lasting reds, you may want to consider a lip stain (Vincent Longo makes a beautiful red shade called My Sunshince) to either accompany this lipstick (wear under it) or in lieu of this lipstick.

First fill in your lips with a lip pencil. Then apply lip color and blot. Then apply the lip color again. Hope that helps!

Too much primer might be your issue. Use the littlest amount of primer on your lips and wait for it to dry getting sort of tacky. Then, use a lip liner in the same color as your lipstick and outline your lips first. Start by making two dots at your nose digits and then color in the lines on the top. Have a steady hand. Then put two corresponding dots on the lower lip. Then fill in the lines there. Using no more than one sweep from the middle to each side, apply your lipstick first on top, then on the bottom. Blot with kleenex. If you are looking to do a matte look, wait a moment and dust your lips with a powder puff.

I dab a little foundation on my lips before lipstick application, it works try it!

The only thing that really works for me is making sure that my lips are moisturized at night. As part of my nightly routine I put lip conditioner on very last so it lasts all night. Before I put this lipstick on I honestly don't use a primer. It's just another layer to come off later!! I've had a lot of luck with this routine and I hope you do too!!

If you use something like Burt's Bee's and then the lipstick I never have any issues with it staying. Especially Kat Von D's, that stuff lasts forever.

The best lip primer I have tried so far is actually from Mary Kay. It really works.

I have very pale skin, and blue eyes. My hair is naturally brown but I tend to keep it dyed a natural black. I purchased Hellbent online and when I tried it found, I looked overpainted. I went to a Sephora and asked them to help me out with tips on using it and they gave me a color consultation using all the other products from the Kat Von D line (something I recommend; they're very helpful). Using a lip liner with this is key, as is not overdoing your eye make-up. A perfect "smokey eye" look will compliment this well and make you look very "glam" and dramatic.

Depending on you skin color, if it's fair to medium Hellbent is a good strong red. It's a bluish red. As far as the gloss goes, I would try it before the wedding day and see how it wears. Congrats and good luck.

Hellbent in a great dramatic red....I actually wore it for my wedding! I didn't wear gloss over mine though, I wanted a classic, matte look.

I would recommend the Misfit shade with no gloss if you want the old Hollywood glam. I don't think of shiny lips when I think of the bombshells with the red shades. It lasts but you may need to consider a reverse lip liner, to keep the red from feathering and a moisturizing primer such as Vincent Longo Bang Bang lip lotion.
As for the eyeshadows, I have yet to try this line. But Smashbox has a very nice array of long lasting, crease-resistant eyeshadows in some very beautiful and tasteful hues. Just be sure to use a eyelid primer to keep everything looking it's best for the wedding photos!

I agree, it depends on your skintone and natural lip color. Its a 'classic' toned red shade. We suggest visiting your local Sephora Store to swatch the color on your skin.

I have to disagree with Luckybug's assessment of the colors.......being Fair skined with Dark hair, Underage Red is the most classic of KVD's red lipstick shades. Stilleto is more of a tomato-red, as it has more of the orange base. Hellbent is definately a dark, blood red.

Yes, it has an orange undertone because it is an orange-based red (whereas Hellbent is a blue-based red, Misfit is a brown-based red, etc. etc.). Depending on your skin tone and natural lip color, orange-based reds could be very flattering or they could be totally wrong. You just have to try it on and see if it looks "right." I find that it usually helps people to think in terms of tomato red or cherry red. This one happens to be a tomato red.

start off with a red not too crazy like Misfit. its red but not clown like. The color is vibrant so it should show up and if you like it you can up grade to something like Hellbent

I would recommend "Prayer" by Kat Von D because it's a red-pink color so it works with every skin tone. My daughter has brown eyes and olive skin plus I have hazel eyes with pink undertones in my skin, we both love this color!!

NO! Read the descriptions when u click on the names. Some of them are described as 'shimmering', etcetera, even though most DO seem to be matte or shiny.

I have fair skin with yellowish undertones. Pink/orangish reds tend to look silly on me, so Misfit works very well. It's definitely very red still (but not as bright as Hellbent, obviously).

Misfit is definitely red, but brown-based as opposed to the Hellbent or Underage Red. It's a darker bold red, not bright and shocking like the others.

It depends on your skin tone and natural lip color. I'm fair-skinned and have very light pink lips, and when I tried this out it turned almost purple as opposed to the brownish-red in the tube. All of Kat's lipstick shades have a wide color variation depending on the individual.

If you want a blood red color then go for the color Hellbent. If you look at the picture of Kat Von D with her red lips on her Sephora page you might like that color too. The color she is wearing there is called Underage Red. Hope this helped :-)

it does turn a deep red but you've got to apply A LOT of it to get it there, otherwise its really a hot pink and wears off into pink and stains your lips pink...it takes a long time to come completely off too and doesnt personally feel amazing on your lips.

Urban Decay has 24/7 lip liner pencils now and one of the colors is called Ozone. Its a colorless lipliner so it keeps your lipstick in place and it matches anything! No harsh lines or blending required.

I would suggest using a lip brush and lining your lips with the actual lipstick. it's hard to find a liner that matches with such a unique color.

If I had your pale skin and dark hair I would use the color Prayer. Its so beautiful and it would really compliment your skin and go great with any eye color.
