Question
Do the KVD shadow sets emphasize fine lines?
The colors of these sets look lovely and the reviews are great. But, they seem to contain alot of metallic and shimmery shades. I'm wondering if the shades emphasize or highlight fine lines. My skin is actually in lovely shape and I don't have many lines. But, there are some shades/lines of make up that just seem to find them! That's not a look that I want! I'd love to hear from those of you in my age bracket who have experience with this line of eye make up. By the way, I'm a forty six year old. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, I'm 41 and these colors are rich but soft. Not overly shimmery and don't enhance any lines/eye wrinkles. Just nice and pretty with a soft sheen. Don't be afraid to try these; I think you'll be really pleased.

I'm not in your age group, but some of these colors are pretty shimmery and I could definitely see them highlighting fine lines, so that could be something to consider when buying. The matte shades might crease a bit too, but if you use a primer it's nothing to worry about.

I find that the colors are highly-pigmented and don't draw attention to lines at all. the colors are rich, and the sparkly shades aren't *too* sparkly.. they add just the right amount of shimmer.

Actually do to the dry formulation of matte shades, they tend to make crepey lids look like raisons. A little bit of shimmer is a good thing. Keep it from just above the crease and down to the lash line. I would not go above the crease line much with it. Try it, I think you will be surprised. No they do not really emphasize any more than others. I personally like UD and tarte, even the new be palette shadows are quite nice on aging lids (who is not aging though). Look for brands that use skin care ingredients in their makeup. Could not hurt right?

The formula of the eyeshadows are so silky and blendable that people with fine lines and wrinkles would be able to use it.

Well, I haven't had any problems with these colors setting into my creases, but I have had that problem in the past. I don't know if you use it, but if you don't, I'd reccomend the Urban Decay Primer Potion. You put it on before you put on shadow and it prevents shadow from creasing. It is an amazing product, and ever since I have started using it I havent had a problem with creasing - even with cream shadows, which are notorious for creasing.
